Wow, where do I even start?
On our first day in the beautiful Island of Sardinia, we were on the hunt for a great spot to enjoy some authentic Italian cuisine. After a little browsing on Google Maps, we found a nearby restaurant with good reviews! We were super excited until we discovered, to our surprise (but honestly, we took it as a good sign), that they were fully booked for a private event. So we had to come back the next day for dinner.

Gregorio was just wonderful! He was so welcoming and took the time to explain all the fresh catch of the day. We were convinced and ended up ordering exactly what he recommended! 😅
Ossie and Peter were so attentive and friendly, making us feel comfortable. Their hospitality truly made our experience special!
And now, the food:
My boyfriend tried the crab with linguine, while I went for the frutti di mare as our primo. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a workout getting the meat out of the crab (we're not used to tackling an entire crab at a restaurant 🤣🤣, it was super messy) but it was absolutely delicious. I loved how the flavor of the main ingredients really shone through—everything tasted so fresh!
For our secondi, we had the baked dorade, which they deboned right in front of us! It was so light and delicate, just amazing!
To cap off our night, we enjoyed a shot (or maybe more than a shot! 🫢🤣) of Mirto. We had to Google it afterwards bc we totally missed the name when Ossie introduced it. It’s a traditional Sardinian drink that you drink after a meal(a digestive)!! so good!

Read moreWe had a wonderful romantic dinner. The surroundings are beautiful, you are basically looking right at the sea and we were lucky to catch a beautiful sunset as well. The restaurants interior fitted this setting wonderfully with its washed-off wooden shelters under which we were seated. The staff were amazing, very helpful and kind. I would like to highlight Gregorio who introduced the catches of the day to us and who in the end brought us traditional after meal shots, which we never had before. The food was delicious! The ingredients were as fresh as it can get. We had the raw seafood appetizer and I have to say I have never had such a good prawn, with no aftertaste and no “sea” smell at all. After this my boyfriend chose the classy sage butter ravioli and I had the crab linguine. I have to say it was quite a challenge to get the meat out, but we had nowhere to hurry and the crab was so fresh and buttery! The linguine with the crab-tomato sauce were delicious and complemented the crab wonderfully. I would advise the so called manager to get some training because he is not able to be nice when he speaks to costumers. In particular we had some food allergies at the table and instead of trying to be comprehensive, they were very aggressive. Also they forgot a plate so one of the kids ate later.
