Osteria la Dritta — Restaurant in Lucca

We were staying for a week in Lucca, and we walked past this restaurant which was very close to our apartment. The menu was quite short (a good thing!), and interesting, so we made a reservation to visit later that evening.

We were not disappointed. Quality of food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and professional. It was only open a few weeks, but already was full on the evening we ate. Of particular mention was the carbonara, which was a special not mentioned on the menu. It was made with short pasta, with a sauce that was not too much liquid, and a depth of flavour that was astonishing. One mark of a really talented chef using top ingredients is when they can take a "standard" dish and turn it into something quite extraordinary.

Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food that we had. I would recommend visiting if you are in Lucca. But make a reservation, it is...

Abbiamo cenato qui per festeggiare un’occasione speciale e non avremmo potuto scegliere meglio!

Locale intimo con pochi tavoli ed eccellente cura del cliente. Atmosfera di respiro internazionale, raffinata e disinvolta al tempo stesso.

Servizio di alta qualità: fin da subito siamo stati accolti con sorriso, gentilezza e grande professionalità. Alcuni piatti sono stati serviti direttamente dalla Chef, che nel pieno del servizio ci ha dedicato tempo e attenzione accompagnandoci alla scoperta dei piatti. Abbiamo gradito molto il gesto, per nulla scontato!

La cura del dettaglio e l’accurata ricerca si ritrovano nelle scelte di arredamento così come nei piatti realizzati con materie prime fresche e di altissima qualità. È una cucina attenta all’ecosostenibilità ed autentica, che rispetta il sapore del singolo ingrediente , mettendolo in risalto sempre in maniera semplice e diretta.

Senza glutine super approvato: nel menù sono presenti molti piatti naturalmente gluten free, altri sono adattabili, come ad esempio i primi. Nota di merito al pane e la focaccina fresca anche senza glutine e al dolce: ho potuto scegliere una crostata realizzata con la frolla senza glutine fatta da loro, davvero eccezionale!

La loro carta dei vini è poi un interessante viaggio di scoperta nella loro cantina ricca in quantità e qualità. È stato bello lasciarsi guidare dalla loro sommelier per scegliere la bottiglia più adatta a noi.
