In the summer the gardens are open from 10.30-19.30pm. The gardens cost €5 or €4 for over 65 years. You can purchase a combined ticket with the Torre Delle Ore tower and Torre Guinigi. This costs €12. You can purchase the tickets online and book time slots. If you book a time slot for the gardens and turn up early they still let you in. The gardens are not very big. Read moreA lovely small garden! We had spent all morning and afternoon exploring Lucca, and decided to pay the small entry fee to check out this garden. If you're a gardening expert (like some people in my group), there is apparently a lot of interesting detail, especially in the medical garden. I just like plants but am not an expert, and enjoyed my visit very much. It was a hot day, but plenty of shade, and even though it wasn't expensive, it was enough to make a big difference in how busy it was compared to the rest of Lucca (I kept seeing the same people over the day, but not in here). Read moreThe Botanical Garden of Lucca is a well-maintained and clean space, offering an interesting variety of plants and trees. Although the garden is relatively small, it provides a pleasant experience, and we spent about an hour exploring it. Unfortunately, all the greenhouses were closed during our visit, and no prior information about this was provided at the entrance. Visitors should note that the entrance is located on the southern side, accessible from the city wall; other gates were closed.
