My husband and I walked out after a quick glance at the seemingly insipid menu. Boy are we happy we returned!

Fresh raw chicories and fennel as a starter. Meat and about 6 different veggie dishes like cauliflower soufflé, broccoli done well, tasty chicory, etc. to continue the meal extravaganza.

La Locanta di Antonvito is hands down THE BEST PLACE FOR LUNCH IN MANDURIA. It can be very difficult to find a restaurant that is open between 12 o clock (noon) and 3pm as most restaurants in the area open around dinner time. Antonvito serves fantastic local dishes for lunch. Pasta, meat and many more local Puglia specialties. He is a legend and owns this restaurant since many years. We are coming here since over 10 years and he never failed to impress us with his wonderful creations at wonderful prices, fresh, quality, affordable food and friendly staff....

Serata inaspettata e spassosissima! Siamo arrivati in questa locanda per puro caso: erano le 20.30 di sera, la fame era tanta e ci siamo imbattuti in questa locanda che, fatalità stava aprendo al pubblico in quel momento. Subito dietro di noi si era formata una coda molto lunga di persone e, da quello che sentivamo, tutte avevano già prenotato! Preoccupati abbiamo chiesto alla cameriera se avessero un posto per due persone: lei, che poi abbiamo scoperto essere l'unica cameriera di tutto il locale, cassiera e forse anche aiuto cuoca, senza troppi "se" e senza troppi "ma" ci ha indicato un tavolino appena all'ingresso del locale, tra la cucina, la cassa e le scale che conducevano al bagno. È servito poco tempo per capire che per noi era una fortuna esserci imbattuti in quel posto perché si tratta di una locanda storica che fa cucina tipica pugliese, buonissima, abbondante, informale ma speciale.
