This was meant to be a night out with my in-laws and nephews to celebrate and we would soon have our night go downhill due to the chavvy (cafoni) and ill mannered, not to mention vulgar owners, husband, in the kitchen and wife as maître, taking orders and taking them wrong, through and through.
The orders were written by my wife on her phone as being a table of 7 there's always a possibility of errors. The starters came all separately and being in family we were waiting for eachother to finally eat them cold, as the time between them was long.
When the main dishes started coming out, they brought out a pizza and seem to have forgotten to run the meat dishes in the main kitchen because my brother in law found himself eating on his own. About 15 minutes after the pizza, two meat dishes came out correct.... not so much for the rest.
After consulting it with the maître, she ran in the kitchen and the chef, came out to see what was going on, no mask. After a quick chat he went back in tto start bringing out whatever he deemed fit. Nothing to do with our order, except for mine. So once again we addressed it to the maître and that is when it really went downhill. The chef came out saying that we had no idea what we had ordered and actually called my mother in law a lier, I didn't catch that, but my brother in law did, and confronted him. The owner came face to face to say we were in his house and threatened him.
We left after paying 50€ to cover the starters and were never given an actual ticket, only the order ticket.
This was a disappointment and an embarrassment to actually be there in such a violent and...
Read moreThe restaurant itself is great, the food is delicious, portions are generous, and prices are more than fair for the quality.
But the service was unacceptable. We started eating around 7:30 PM, and from 8:00 PM the staff kept coming over asking if they could take our plates, even though there was still food on them. It was obvious they wanted us to leave. They stood nearby, staring at us, and kept talking to each other while clearly looking at our table with disapproval.
No one explained anything because they didn’t speak English, and we don’t speak Italian. When I talked to the manager, who was polite and respectful, he told me the table was reserved, but we could stay and see what to do when the guests arrived. So we stayed. But the other staff ignored what he said and continued pressuring us. They even took away our plates and cutlery without asking and never brought new ones.
Only the manager and a woman named Marina were professional. The rest of the staff seriously need training in basic hospitality.
If a table is only available for a limited time, this needs to be made clear from the beginning. Making guests feel uncomfortable and unwelcome while they’re still eating is...
Read moreThis restaurant is a great choice! Staff are very friendly and food is really, really good! Prices are alright and quantity is equivalent. It was a great chance for us to be here almost every day in 1 week, sometimes even twice. Everything we ate was tastefully and special - the fixed menu on Sunday, the pizza in the evenings, the pasta, the seafood! I would definitely come back and recommend this place for friends and family with kids. I also saw the big plates with salumerie and formaggis - they looked fantastic! Don't think twice, just come and try the hospitality of Chef...
