Great seafood and of course the classic Spaghetti Nerano was amazing.
Came for lunch based on a recommendation of a friend. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was told to eat the traditional spaghetti dish. The restaurant is unassuming and less flash then some of the others on that beach.
We got the wine with peaches to drink which was delicious and made me wonder why people don't do it more often. Super refreshing and great with the mixed seafood antipasti we had. Octopus and Parsley salad, fried mylor prawns and baby squid, marinated Anchovy, Tuna and salmon and octopus stewed with tomato and potato.
My partner got the spaghetti speciality with courgette and Basil. It was incredible, very rich. I had the spaghetti with mussels and fresh tomato, again delicious. We shared a tomato salad with Basil, Oregano, wild rocket and Celery and fried courgette flowers.
We opted not for dessert as we were quite full from our meal. After talking with the head waiter while paying the bill she offered us some of their homemade limoncello. Probably the best limoncello I've had on our trip.
After the meal we had a great beach session to cap off...
Read moreWe had really poor experience. The only good thing is that the restaurant is on the beach. The atmosphere is cheep but the prices are high. The food is not that good. At the end we were charged 5 euro per person for service or 20% over the total bill, which was not specifically written in the menu or have been explained to us at arrival. We were with two little kids - 2 years old and the kids were charged for service too, which we would understand if the restaurant had any playground or animators to take care for them which they don’t have. It looked like as the kids were unwanted guests, because they were taking valuable place on the table and not spending money as a regular customer is expected to do, even though the place was empty - only two more tables were taken. The place is overpriced. Dose not offer any parking, it’s not kid-friendly, actually they charge you extra if you bring your kids with you. The food is not good - don’t order any dish with clamps in it or you risk breaking a tooth because of the sand...
Read moreI usually never go to places with a very low rating such as this. I came here because of a recommendation by a friend. He mentioned the pasta alla Nerano which is their main thing I guess. I decided to go for a whole grilled fish instead. The boy who served me, obviously trained by his owners, proposed me the fish of the day which he said weighs not less than 600/800 gr. (fresh fish here is sold at 120€/kg) I thought 600/800 gr. fish all for me is too much and I told him, he said you have a salad and this you'll be fine. The guy came with the fish, to show it to me it was already cooked, which is something you don't do. If you really want to show me the size you even weigh it in front of me. In few words the fish was barely 200gr. and I paid 85€ for two glasses of wine, a salad and a small little fish. I'm 42 and it wasn't for sure the first fish of my life, but for sure I know how dishonest they...
