Second edit: We went back and it was excellent! The staff was very friendly and attentive, the food and the drinks were great! We will be back!

Edit: A year later (2025) we went back to this restaurant and ordered the same food we had ordered in 2024. We were the first patrons at 19:10 h and ordered drinks and when they finally came about 15 minutes later we ordered Pizza Campagnola and Busiate alla Norma since both dishes were excellent the year before. The service was a little slower than the year before and they must have changed the cook. The pizza had less toppings and the dough was not very fluffy. The Busiate alla Norma are supposed to have ricotta salata, creamy kind of ricotta cheese on it. This time it was a grated semi hard cheese and the tomato sauce was thick and very salty. Also the prices went up a bit.

Original review 2024: During a walk through Mazara Del Vallo we got hungry and when we passed Sazzari the staff asked us in english "would you like to see the menu?" so we decided to try this restaurant. We were sitting outside on the Piazza amongst families at long tables and smaller parties enjoying the evening. The staff was friendly, attentive and some even spoke English (which helped because our Italian is limited...). We had Daikiries, the red house wine and beer (local Nostro Azzurro). The drinks were good and well priced. We ordered Pizza Italia, Pizza Campagnola and Busiale with a tomato/sausage/cheese sauce and it was all sensational! We will be back for sure!

P.S.: We have been back and the service, the food and the atmosphere were just as great as...

In visita a Mazara del Vallo per un paio di giorni. Abbiamo deciso di prenotare da "Sazzari" per varie ragioni: recensioni altalenanti (ottime e negative, quindi "proviamolo" dato che ognuno di noi ha gusti, aspettative, pretese e sensazioni differenti). immagini dei piatti invitanti menù interessante (visto su TheFork) Comincio dicendo che la nostra esperienza si associa senza ombra di dubbio alle recensioni positive. Il nostro pranzo ha avuto la durata di circa 1h. Il locale è curatissimo, nuovo, un bel design ed offre molteplici servizi (prodotti da Bar, ristorazione e pizzeria). Il cameriere all'ingresso ci ha caldamente accolti e la nostra prenotazione era correttissima senza nessun errore (prenotazione effettuata tramite app TheFork), ci fa accomodare al tavolo, ci viene servito il menù lasciando a noi il tempo di cui avevamo bisogno per leggere e scegliere. Cosa abbiamo ordinato: Primi Piatti: "Busiate al pistacchio e frutti di mare" e "Paccheri alla mentalzana" Secondo: Hamburger di pollo da dividere in due (durante l'ordinazione il cameriere ci ha fatto scegliere se preferivamo averlo come antipasto o come secondo) Bevande: Acqua naturale e Coca Cola 1L

L'aspetto e il profumo dei primi era qualcosa di veramente particolare, l'impiattamento delle busiate era davvero bello, le cozze intorno ed il gambero centrale con la granella di pistacchio a decorare il tutto. I paccheri perfetti, anzi più grandi dei soliti mangiati fino ad ora in altri locali. Entrambe le paste erano cotte perfettamente, la crema di melanzane ottima. L'hamburger richiesto come secondo da dividere in due è arrivato in tempi giusti, servito in piatti differenti ed con identico impiattamento ( cosa che non tutti i locali fanno) Mi preme dire che alcuni dei commenti negativi sono completamente fuori luogo, bisogna sempre provare empatia e capire le situazioni, se c'è confusione all'interno del locale è ovvio che può esserci un rallentamento, ma distruggere la reputazione di un locale solo per l'impazienza e la mancata comprensione del contesto non penso sia corretto verso chi lavora, investe soldi e produce piatti di qualità ottima.

The worse experience ever…we were 3 families and after 1 hour we recieved 5 meals out of 12. After that the waiter came what meals are missing. Our son celiakis and we confirmed 3 times if they can do gluten free pizza. After 2 hours they came to say that they don’t have gluten free pizza anymore. After me complaining they brought pizza made out of pre-made dough. After 2,5 hour we were still missing 4 meals. We recieved then 3 meals which included also hamburger that my daughter ordered. She found in the meat huge hair and couldn’t eat anymore. I never wrote review to restaurant but this was such an extreme bad experience that I had to. Please avoid this restaurant...
