It could be that we are spoiled by having extraordinary Indian food near to us, but this place was really lacking. I didn’t expect it to be over-the-top wonderful, but I would have settled for it to be “fine”… it wasn’t even that. :o( What a disappointment! We ordered take-out food since we had to be up early the next morning. Not only was the food expensive, but it also just seemed generally “meh”. The chicken was tough and the saucy was minimally flavorful. I’m assuming that the other positive reviews are because this restaurant provides some variety compared to traditional Italian food, but having had some high-quality Indian food within the same week… we were all really disappointed with Haldi Ristorante Indiano. Just reopened with a new name and a new management, the restaurant offers a wide range of Punjabi dishes, all well prepared and tasty. Also the naan bread is particularly soft and delicious, proof that it is always freshly made. Also the staff is really welcoming and helpful. It's been a pleasure to talk to Priya and Ranjith and to learn about the dishes of their Indian state. Relatively new Indian restaurant started like 3 years back. Run by Indians, and taste is also good. The lassi, butter nan, garlic nan with those butter chicken and chicken tilla masala was too good. Biriyani could have been better, but not bad. Authentic indian taste, chef is also Indian. Price also normal, dinner for 4 came around 80 euro.
