La Bottega del Gelato Cardelli Marco — Restaurant in Milan

I was coming here almost daily since the gelato is good. Then one day an old man who I think is the owner gave me the tiniest serving of the piccolo (small) cup where the two scoops were literally FLAT and the same level as the cup. The girls who work here were never quite as stingy. Today I tried Biogelato that's just steps which turned out to be cheaper than this place. As an Asian woman I'm used to getting smaller portions at many establishments but this serving just blew me away.

In RESPONSE to the owner who responded to my post, it was THE OWNER the Bald Older Man who gave me a FLAT cup of gelato. It was not some ragazza working there. I LIVE near by and go to Meydan at least three times a week. Questa gelateria è ottima! Ed è anche storica: è, infatti, presente a Milano dal 1964! La qualità non manca affatto! I gelati e i sorbetti sono buonissimi! Inoltre, suggerisco di provare la frutta ripiena di gelato! È SPETTACOLARE!!!! Lo reputo il prodotto che più si contraddistingue in questa gelateria! I prodotti proposti qua sono tutti artigianali! Dal primo all'ultimo!!!! Il locale si trova in una posizione più che ottima: a pochi metri da Corso Buenos Aires e dalla fermata della M1 e della M2, Loreto. Il personale è gentile, disponibile e pronto a suggerire le proposte migliori in base alla stagione!

Perché solo 4 stelle? Per un motivo molto semplice: i prezzi sono ESAGERATI! Il fatto che il gelato sia fatto in casa non giustifica i prezzi eccessivi di questo locale! Così come non può essere una giustificazione la posizione in cui si trova la gelateria (si trova in centro, ma in zona Buenos Aires, NON IN DUOMO!). La frutta ripiena costa dai 5 ai 10 euro, quando si potrebbe tranquillamente far pagare dai 2 ai 6 euro! Poi, parliamo delle coppette: si parte da un minimo di 3 euro e si arriva ai 9 euro (neanche fosse situata nella Galleria Vittorio Emanuele!), quando in altre gelaterie artigianali (NON sto parlando di Grom, tranquilli!), si parte da 2,50 € e si arriva a 4 €. Da un lato, mi rendo conto che avere un locale in centro a Milano comporti delle spese e neanche riesco a immaginare quanto possa essere difficile gestirle! Tuttavia, dall'altro lato, confermo quello che ho detto prima riguardo alla zona in cui si trova la gelateria. Il mio è un semplice consiglio: personalmente, penso che, abbassando un pelino i prezzi, i clienti possano affluire più numerosi, ma con i prezzi attuali, molti clienti scappano! Io stesso, se questa gelateria avesse avuto dei prezzi più accettabili, ci sarei andato con maggiore frequenza!

In conclusione: nonostante i prezzi alti in rapporto alla zona e alla quantità del gelato (al di là dell'ottima qualità), è una gelateria che merita e in cui posso ritornare quando mi va! LOCALE...

Visited: Saturday, September 24, 2022. Hands down the best 'gelateria' in the fine city of Milan. A shop that has served and delighted many generations of locals and visitors alike, always keeping its standards (produce, manufacturing, service) as high as they were when it first opened decades ago. Very famous amongst the cognoscenti for its fruit-based gelato (the variety is stunning), although any flavour you pick is a treat for the palate.
