La cantina del Giannone — Restaurant in Milan

Really disappointed with their service and food. First time coming to Milan I expected better than that place offers. Ordered rib eye steak but they brought one with rotten tasting beef. But their chef keeps insisting that beef is good even though everyone in my company (there are four adults and kids) tasted and everybody agreed that beef tasted bad. They didnt even apologize and in the end charged us for that rotten tasting steak. Not sure why they treat their customers like that. Really bad experience and disappointing service they provide. We reserved a table for six and were really satisfied with the food, it was excellent!! The restaurant is located a little outside the city center, but a visit is very worthwhile. The location is very nice, the atmosphere very cozy and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We even got Limoncello and Mirto à discretion on the house. The only drawback was that we were not poured wine even though there were hardly any people, so we had to do it ourselves. This shouldn't happen in a fine restaurant. Found this special place while out doing some errands, we walked past as they were just starting to get ready for the evening. First impression was “ this looks like a good spot”. It over achieved our expectations! Alex, who we later learned is the manager, treated us like we were family. It was a Tuesday night, we arrived just before opening without a reservation, don’t know if that was normal but it was a full house within an hour.
