On the way to our metro stop our family of four stopped in to have an early dinner. No reservation; we were strictly a walk in and they seated us immediately. Wait service was awesome and he advised that our kids with food allergies (nut and sesame) were ok to order what they wanted. The Margherita pizza my wife and son shared were delicious as well as their side of potatoes al forno. I ordered the focaccia with 4yr old aged prosciutto and straciatella and it was melt in your mouth delicious. As we went through dinner, the place was getting full and we wanted to be considerate of the space and get our check. Before we did, our awesome server asked if I wanted to have the best tiramisu in Milan. How could I turn that down. He returns with a big dish of fresh tiramisu, scoops out a huge piece and then proceeds to dust it with cocoa powder tableside. Needless to say, I’m glad we had a nice long walk back to our metro stop. If I’m ever back in Milan, this will be the first...
Read moreAmazing restaurant/pizzeria. After a long day travelling to Milan we were after a good pizza and some drinks. This place exceeded on all counts. Started off with the buffalo mozzarella, cheese/cold cuts board and foccacia. All incredibly fresh produce and set us up nicely for our pizzas. As a group we had a few different ones that each one of us enjoyed. I had the prosciutto+funghi which had a very generous portion of ham on top and the dough was perfect. Then the waitor convinced us to get the house tiramisu and the special tiramisu (strawberry flavoured). Both were amazing and even though we were all full from the starters and main we still demolished both desserts. Very good wine (toscana) and crisp beer too. The waitor (Antonio) was a very friendly guy and helped us choose our meal well. Really nice vibe in the restaurant and was pretty full - highlighting how popular this place is. This was our first night in Milan and we'll be sure to go back...
Read moreThe menu is short enough to show you what their specials are (with a special section about their best products) and at the same time - long enough for you to have a choice. Both pizzas was very good. Right amount of ingredients, high quality. Note that it's Napolitano style, not the Milanese one. The waiters were in constant motion and asked if everything was okay which gives you the feeling that they look after you. Luca and Julian (names of the two whose take care of us) deserve all the credits and made our visit here a fun and good memory. The typical Italian humour and charm was perfectly balanced and after the tiramisu joke I knew that I should rate the place and give them a shout out. Oh - the tiramisu itself was delicious. They are very proud of it calling it the best in Milano and they may be close to the truth. In summary - fantastic food with even better service....
