Maybe those were 'bad days' (2nd of June 2024) in staff life.. but we felt that we had done some crime since the moments we entered.. it feelt like you make a very personal crime or an insult to staff's families (except the cutter and guy who helped with cleaning) , and they are still forced to serve you. Did you just come and wish to be welcomed? "Welcome your yourself, dear, help yourself to find a table, and guess how it works there." For an ask "Could you please clean that as it is with visible crumbles and spots after previous clients?" Answer was "OK" but in tone, which sounds like, "Do you have sleeves and hands, don't you? " Then we experienced awkward 15 minutes pause when nobody took an order clearly looking on us in silence.. and then when we caught a person, he let us idiots to know - that here everyone should order from the bartender, not at the table... ah.. okay, no problem. Order is made, glasses this were put into dish washer 1 minute before are took out and filled with drinks, food is served. I'm sincerely apologize for the owner and the staff dream team for making a stupid move asking for a hot drink in the started rain.. my exact wording was "Sir, do you have any hot drinks, I wish to have some hot water our something? Like coffee or tea?" "We don't have tea. Do you want to order a coffee?" "I do. Is there any chance to make it bigger?" <sight full of miserable to an idiot> "Can you make it in the American way?" (Asked I in the hope that would help.. how wrong I was..) "Do you want to mix coffee with hot water or something like that? I don't understand, I drink coffee just as coffee, I don't get what you want!" "..okay, just coffee". So, you wish to tell me an Italian is not aware about a way of drinking coffee mixing that with hot water? Okay.. I'm not a fan of Americano, but you are so greedy, so cannot share some hot water with a client? Because of what? It would put a shame on your family or country or football team? And the food was good. End of the story. Dear owners, please, make sure that you don't force your beloved skilful intelligent and warm welcoming staff to become an opposite while working on Republic Day.. that is somehow a very unfortunate combination. Considering other reviews that is the only reason for such experience, I can see. And if I'm mistaken, let me know your house rules those we have broken. P.s. We asked three times if there is a toilet in the place, twice we got "please wait". Wait to answer if there is a toilet... hum... P.P.s. behind of us was sitting an Italian couple, they came after us when the rain has started, they were just sitting and checking if the rain has stopped time to time in about 30 minutes a person from staff had approached them asking if they wish to order something. Is that your place rules? You need to prove your loyalty and ability to fight a hunger sitting with an empty table surrounded by eating people for 30 minutes to get regular service? Interesting tradition of the place... and then.. Why we were told to order from bartender - is it that one kind of 'I change the rule by my wish' as I'm honoured working here and you are disturbing my day staying at my place? Feelt exactly like that.

Sandwiches Worth the Hype – A Perfect Milanese Takeaway During a recent trip to Milan, I stopped by La Prosciutteria Brera looking for a quick but quality bite to take away and it absolutely delivered. This spot is bursting with charm and packed with seriously good ingredients. I picked up sandwiches for three of us, and each one was a hit. I think, if I was to go again, I’d happily sit inside or outside this charming little place with a drink in hand. The “Da Nord a Sud” was a standout—herb-roasted prosciutto cotto paired with creamy stracciatella, sautéed friarielli, and roasted potatoes. It was a full-on flavor journey, rich and comforting with just the right balance of freshness and indulgence. The “Modella per un Giorno” felt like Milan in sandwich form: tender roast beef, peppery rocket, generous flakes of aged Grana, and a touch of creamy lizzone with a crack of black pepper. Elegant, bold, and beautifully put together. Everything was neatly wrapped and easy to take on the go, perfect for enjoying in a nearby piazza or park. If you’re in Milan and want a sandwich that’s anything but ordinary, La Prosciutteria Brera is a must. Delicious, generous, and full of personality just like the city itself…. I will be back!

***THEY OPEN AT NOON! NOT 11:30AM!*** I was really looking forward to visiting La Prosciutteria Milano Brera, but unfortunately it was extremely disappointing before I even got through the door. Every source I checked—including Google Maps and their official website—stated that they open at 11:30 AM. However, when I arrived, the waitress told me they actually open at 12 PM. This might not seem like a big issue, but in a city like Milan, where tourists are often on tight schedules, accurate opening hours are crucial. Many travellers plan their itineraries carefully, and misinformation like this wastes valuable time. If they’ve changed their hours, they need to update their online presence accordingly. Sadly, this lack of professionalism left a bad first impression, and I ended up taking my business elsewhere. I hope they address this issue, as it’s frustrating and unnecessary.
