The place is aesthetically very nice, bright and colourful with a nice vibe. The brand has a great reputation however I had been advised this one isn’t as good as its counterparts in other areas of the city. The restaurant is nice but there’s not a lot of space, it feels quite compact with small tables and quite uncomfortable chairs so comfort isn’t priority, you couldn’t stay here all night as you can in some restaurants. Another thing I don’t like is when you reserve they give you a time you must leave by, this is ample time but I think it is unnecessary and slightly rude as you’re a customer and it doesn’t make you feel valued. Staff were very warm and friendly and there was plenty of them, we couldn’t fault the service.
The menu had a great variety although we were unsure on how many dishes is a good amount, a little guidance would be nice. The food was amazing, very fresh, well presented, served all together and very very tasty. We took 3 sushi dishes and poke bowl which was perfect for 2 people without being too full.
Drinks were great I’d highly recommend a classic caipirinha. Not many places get this drink right but this one was well balanced and refreshing.
The bill came to just over 70€ which was no way near as bad as I expected as I’d heard it can be pricy.
Overall I’d highly recommend Temakinho but maybe not this branch in particular, I’d be more inclined to try the other...
Read moreTemakinho is a great restaurant for making memories. From the welcoming waiter that sent us to our small but spacious table. To the waitress who was kind and gave me, my sister and my mom an excellent recommendation on the appetizer (maresia an explosion of flavoursome passion fruit sushi dented in your taste buds) to a superlative Rio Bananal. Me and my family ordered a whopping 64 rolls of sushi with a welcoming cocktail full of flavour as well. This is a must go for any couple, family gathering or an anniversary all due to the Brazilian themed amazon restaurant with excellent songs to make you want to dance . The food is priced a bit expensive for my taste but with this type of food it's a given. there are some improvements which I think could be made. it would be to stop giving a time limit for reserving a table (which they give you 1 hour and 30 minutes of) After that the next person that reserved the table might come and they may kick you out. I'm not speaking with experience as we left before our time was up. Also paying 8 euro just for sitting down is a rip off. But other than that this is a legendary restaurant which I will be coming back for on my birthday. P.s ask the waiter/waitress for their recommendation as you...
Read moreI’ve eaten at this location first around 10 years ago. At that time, it was impossible to walk in and, for dinner, it was necessary to book days in advance. I’ve eaten at this location a few more times over the years, and I make a point to come back regularly.
The food is still nice, but the prices have dramatically increased. Well, it’s not unusual for prices to increase over 10 years. Unfortunately, it seems that the quality has also decreased, and so have the portions. The menu has changed (which is not in itself negative) but a few staples remain stable.
When I was there last, two rolls costed €30 or more. We were the only two people eating here at lunch time, for almost one hour. 1 pm in September, on a sunny Friday. A normal lunch for two people (no alcohol) ended up costing almost €80. No wonder people don’t come around for lunch.
That said, I enjoyed the food, and I would come back for the nostalgia if anything. As a new costumer, I’m not sure the value proposition would be good.
Service is kind...
