La roulotte veggy — Restaurant in Milan

We walked about 10 mins in the rain just to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. Once we arrived, there were no spots inside this tiny shop. So we elected to eat outside in the cold rain under a flimsy umbrella. The staff inside were nice enough to set placemats and silverware despite the paper getting almost immediately soaked. We ordered 2 pastas to go and 2 cokes. We got our items in small aluminum trays after watching them get cooked by the chef just 7 feet away. After finding the least soaked table and opening the trays, I was greeted with some of the best tasting pasta I have ever had. We had a ravioli with meat sauce and a radish filled pasta. I forgot to take pictures as the food was too good to stop eating. The utensils were small, wooden instruments that barely stabbed the slightly AL dente pasta pockets. But all of the negatives were overshadowed by the positives of this humble pasta eatery. Despite not speaking Italian, the owners were helpful and delightful in helping us choose our selection. Prices were so low, I would have gotten more if I wasn't staying at a hotel. But the food, one of a kind. I would almost recommend you avoid this place as it could cause you to reconsider every pasta dish you have afterwards. This place is just something else. We've been there twice during our 5 days trip to Milan and it was the highlight of our trip! We hoped to take some pasta home but unluckily, they were closed. I've never had such a good pasta in my whole life. Atmosphere is so good there, family-like friendly. The lady who serves you is so helpful and patient, speaks English really well and was friendly even though it took us ages to decide what to get (everything looked delicious!) Pesto sauce was my absolute favourite. We also couldn't resist dessert on our last visit and it was another 5/5 They've got amazing white wine too. This was by far the best pasta i‘ve had, probably ever! We tried the pumpkin pasta & the potato mint ones and both of them were so delicious!! The lady working there also offers great advice on what sauces to pick for which pasta & was generally really kind and just a lovely host. The prices are also very reasonable & we were really surprised to get such great food for this cheap in milano. 10/10 i would recommend coming here if theres still a table left & i will definitely come back...
