This was our very first dinner when we landed in Italy. Right away we were greeted with the sweet server I've seen in multiple photos of this restaurant, and he was just as personable and friendly as people described him. We were lucky that night.
Other than my jet-lagged noob fail mistake of ordering red wine (btw, order a bottle of their house wine, it's amazingly delish and a fraction of the price you would get it for in America) for our entire dinner, everything was pretty much perfect. We sat down right away and got to ordering:
-Proscuitto e melone: I think this is a must wherever you go in Italy. The one we had was served with super fresh cantaloupe and prosciutto shaved thinly enough so you could taste all its salty goodness it had to offer. My bf is a huge fan of prosciutto and he loved every bite
-Pastas: I got the frutti di mare and I made him get the lobster spaghetti so we could have the best of both worlds. And it was! So much that the neighboring couple ordered the same dish
-TIRAMISU. The absolute best tiramisu we've ever had in our lives. We couldn't stop raving about it. It was just so decadent and so creamy adn rich without being too heavy.
The service here was so amazing too, which is why I'm giving it five stars. We had an elderly gentleman help us out too with our orders, and he was so sweet, constantly giving us snacks and shots of limoncello on the house.

Read moreSummary- Poor service, overcrowded, hot, dishes came out randomly. Our worse meal experience in Milan. Details- I have sweat dripping from my forehead as I write this review. The restaurant is hot and packed with people. Many problems with the service and food. After being seating, we waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come. Normally, we would order water first, but we ordered the whole meal, 4 dishes and 3 drinks. My wife asked for lemon slices, but the slices never came. The waiter ignored our request. The waiter brought us bread, but no olive oil. The seafood platter arrived, and two of the lemons were frozen in the ice. One shrimp was unclean. The scallops arrived a few minutes later. The bread crumbs on the scallops were burnt, and the cooking oil tasted old. I tried to order more wine. Asked the gentleman who was seating people for another glass. He said “I am not a waiter”. The grilled sea bass arrived. We asked where the second dish was — the linguine with sea urchin. The waitress said “I do not know. It will probably come later”. The linguine did come about 10 minutes later. It had an odd taste and was too salty. The linguine was difficult to eat. When paying the bill, we complained. The owner gave us free tiramisu. This was a nice gesture on his part. He explained that too many customers came to the restaurant. The waiters and kitchen were overwhelmed, but I did not see him turning any...
Read moreI had gone on a day excursion to cinque terre. I came back to my hostel to freshen up and grab some dinner. I was panicking to find a resturant open past 1130pm on a Saturday. I stumbled upon this spot after doing a quick Yelp search. I walked in and they looked to not be serving new customers. The server welcomed me in. Quickly gave me a menu. I ordered within 2 mins. I order a half bottle of wine, the rissoto alla milanese and the Gorgonzola gnochhi. I was dying to try these two dishes. The server gave me complementary pizza 🍕 which held me over. Then the food came out. I pigged out. Gnocchi was delicious. The risotto was slightly disappointing to be honest. But I still enjoyed it. Overall, I give this place a 5 star rating because they served me when they could've turned away and the food hit the spot as I was starving. I'm sure you can find more authentic places but I enjoyed it. Oh lastly the server gave me some complimentary dessert cookies. Maybe they were a last batch ready to be thrown out but a nice gesture that I appreciate! I respect the fact that he suggested I write a review on Google maps and I felt compelled to. So here I am. I leave happy...
