Union Club — Restaurant in Milan

We were visiting Milan from the US, and were very tired from a long day of travel. We stopped in at a little bit of an odd hour (just before happy hour), and asked about getting some wine and aperitivi. The woman that greeted us was incredibly kind (my Italian is limited and probably not the best), and when we asked about food, she let us know we were a little early, but brought over a little plate of small sandwich pieces and patatine. The wine was very delicious, inexpensive, and the happy hour food was free. I would love to come back the next time...

Nice place with a lively atmosphere, lots of things going on at once, but the staff manages them well and in a friendly-enough way. There's a good variety of food and drinks, and the prices are not bad at all. It's a very popular place for students and celebrations, so it might get a little loud, but it was surprisingly still good enough to tune that out and have easy conversations.

The Union club is kitsch and quirky bar. The decor is unforgettable, the drinks are good and affordable and the food is generally quite good.

The lunch service is fast and offers a small selection of primi (pasta) and secondi (meat and veggies). The dessert selection is a bit lacking though. The aperitivo is cheap (only 5€) but very good. The selection is good enough and the quality is...
