Jungle Bar & Bistrot — Restaurant in Monopoli

So, I'm sitting here with Lou, my wife, Stuart and Patti our friends. We've been sitting here for an hour and no food has arrived. Oh my wife's food has just arrived and it's terrible! Really! I mean look, I'm a business owner. We pride ourselves on the service we give our clients. This experience is as far away from that as you can imagine. The Australian family behind us arrived 15 minutes after us and we're served first. The Canadian couple opposite who were here when we arrived, got their first course but after about 1h had not got their second course. I asked what was going on. "There is only one person in the kitchen" she said. So we have them another 10 minutes. Nothing arrived, not just for us but for anyone. So I thrust €50 into the hand of the waitress to cover the beers we had and we left. No one should be put in this position. It's embarrassing for us as clients, for the staff and everyone involved. Stopped by late at this place .. we were walking by looking for places when everything else was closed. One of the girls who works there asked us if she can help us. We asked if they were still serving food, and she said she can ask the chef to still make food. This was literally our deciding factor as of how accommodating she was when every other place was closed. We ordered saki and tuna tartare. It was incredible. We then got chatting to the the waitress, her name is Diana, and she was just such a sweet lovely person. She made our experience even better. It’s nice to be surrounded by such positive people. We walked around looking for a restaurant for dinner. The restaurant impressed us with its appearance and above average rating. But we were not satisfied.

While waiting to be seated at a table, waiters walked by us, but no one said hello. That still wouldn't have been such a disaster. After a while we were seated by a nice lady, but after 15 minutes of no one paying attention to us, we left. The lady who seated us might as well have given us a menu. But the remarkable thing was that although there were waiters running around all the time, no one brought us a menu. So we got up and left.

If only someone had at least come over and ordered our drinks and maybe apologized for not being able to serve us,...
