Osteria Sangiovanni - Monopoli — Restaurant in Monopoli

Had a beautiful dinner at Osteria Sangiovanni last night! There were two of us and we didn’t have a reservation but we managed to get seated within 15 - 20 minutes, so we were stoked! We ordered two pasta dishes - (1) gnocchetti al basilico, crema di zucchina gialla e gamberi and (2) orecchiette al ragù pugliese e polpettine. The gnocchetti was soft and pillowy and the sauce was BEAUTIFUL - this dish was absolutely divine and my favourite of the night! The orecchiette was a slight let down even though it was recommended by the waiter - the flavour was there, however the sauce was of a runny consistency, as you can see in the picture. We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The staff was absolutely fantastic – very welcoming and friendly, and special thanks to Stefano, who created such a warm and fun atmosphere. We actually came here twice during our stay because everything was just perfect. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the seafood orecchiette really stood out – incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just melted in our mouths. The pasta was out of this world! Lovely restaurant, great food and impecable service!! On our first night in Monopoli someone recommended us to go there for dinner, we were so impressed, didn't even bothered to look for another restaurant the entire stay.
