Prior to sitting down the host asked whether we wanted food or drinks, we said both. We sat down and were provided with only drink menus. We asked another staff member for food menus, which were provided. We asked a waiter a question about the food, which was answered. We were then ignored for 45 minutes despite our attempts to flag someone to take our order. After sitting with empty glasses, we got up and paid the bill on our way out the door. We had really been looking forward to dining here and this experience was so disappointing. Wow wow wow! Booked this restaurant for my dad’s birthday - who has now said that Don Ferrante is his favourite restaurant in the world. The food was incredible, the view was beautiful, and the experience was unforgettable. I emailed Don Ferrante a few weeks ago and asked if they could prepare an apple pie as a birthday dessert, and they delivered! Served with a candle and the servers singing Happy Birthday in Italian. Had lunch there yesterday. Food, service and view all amazing. We had the raw scampi, potatoes and vegetables plus a couple of fruit plates. We had never eaten scampi raw but it was the most delicate and fresh tasting seafood we've ever had. Service was outstanding and friendly and the location was magnificent.
