We have been coming to Montecatini Alto for 20 years. The charm of this little town is the tradition baked into the ancient buildings in the piazza. But now, and new this year, one of the most traditional spots. CAFFE GIUSTI has found a way to combine the old Tuscany with a modern vibe. They have successfully translated the usual menu items into unique and inventive offerings. And the result is amazing. We spent 4 weeks in town, eating as frequently as possible at Giusti and every meal was exceptional. As a further nod to innovation, they change their menu with the season, and since we were there at the end of summer into the fall, we were lucky enough to experience the transition. This is a family place with the entire family welcoming to your family., while at the same time, the live music and Karaoke they feature attracts a young crowd. The renovation of the old caffe into new, yet traditional design makes dining here a refreshing and comfortable experience. We are so thrilled to see the positive change. Lorenzo you are a maestro. Read moreDining at Caffè Gusti in Montecatini Alto was an experience I’ll never forget — hands down the best Italian food I’ve had anywhere in Italy! Nestled in the heart of this charming hilltop village, the restaurant combines warm hospitality with culinary excellence.
Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavor and beautifully presented. From the handmade pasta to the perfectly seasoned sauces and the freshest local ingredients, each bite was a celebration of Italian cuisine at its finest. The attention to detail and passion in the kitchen truly shines through.
The atmosphere is cozy yet refined, with stunning views of the valley below adding to the magic. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home, offering thoughtful recommendations and genuine conversation.
Caffè Gusti is more than just a meal — it’s a memory. If you're in Montecatini Alto (or anywhere nearby), don’t miss this gem. I would travel back to Italy just to...
Read moreWe ate here last weekend with a group of 7. The place was busy so the service was a bit slow. No big deal, we weren't in a hurry. Montecatini Alto is touristy and sadly the restaurant felt like they were catering to tourists rather than providing an authentic experience. I would normally have given it 4 stars, everything was tasty but nothing was mind-blowingly amazing. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because one of us had ordered pici pasta, typical of the region. When the dish arrived it was either linguine or trenette. We don't know everything about Italian cuisine but we know the distinctive fat round shape of pici. The fact that there was no apology (certainly when they realized that they had run out and could have offered us another option) or explanation is inexcusable. There is no worse customer service mistake than making a tourist feel...
