Il Tagliere Medievale — Restaurant in Monteriggioni

We stopped here for lunch on a bike ride and it was definitely the worst dining experience we had in Italy. First, one of their signs blew over and hit us at our table on the patio. Not their fault, but the server tried to take the signs down after this, however, the owner came out, did not apologize and set it up again in the same place. It then proceeded to blow onto us again. Again, no apology even though it was quite heavy and scraped my arm - could have been a lot worse. The servers seemed to be trying their best but the owner was awful being rude to staff and customers. Then when our paninis came we were quite disappointed at the quality for the price. As others have described, just a piece of meat between two slices of bread - not toasted, nothing else on the sandwich and bread was dry. There is so much great food and service in Tuscany so best to...

Really don't know what to say... You'll find a cheaper and tastier lunch in ROME. My girlfriend and I stopped for a sandwich - exclusively meat filled by the way, no bother for me, but no vegetarian options - and opted for the Panino Prosciutto Crudo. For 5€ we literally received a few slices of prosciutto between 2 slices of rock hard bread, no salad, nothing special, and incredibly disappointing. Yes, I know this is literally what a sandwich is, but for 5€, the quality was appalling. Service was no better, waitress stood at our table and waited for us to order the moment we sat down, without saying a word... We hadn't even looked at the menu. When we said we needed 2 minutes, she was visibly annoyed. Comparably, all the restaurants are expensive in Monteriggioni, hence the 2 stars, but I can only speak for this...

Absolutely terrible. The food was a joke — some random dry sandwich (panini) thrown together with dry cheese and dry bread, like someone just dumped the ingredients on top of each other with zero care or presentation. We were a group of 8, and at least 4 people had hair in their food — absolutely disgusting. The prices? Outrageous. A complete scam. They charged us TWICE for a drink we only ordered once, and instead of charging the normal price, they added the most expensive one on the menu — 9 euros for a basic soda. If you’re looking for a good time, don’t even think about coming here. Go literally anywhere else. This place is a disaster. Total rip-off. 1/10, would never...
