Upon arrival we were seated downstairs so we could watch the football match on TV. However, the waiter couldnt care less about us. We sat down a few minutes after the game started and we didnt get a menu for long minutes. Since we werent attended, we decided to get the menus ourselves. When the waiter finally came we asked about wines (its mentioned on the menu to do so, no prices or vineries shown on the menu). The waiter asked which kind of wine we wanted, we stuck with red but he didnt explain or asked any more questions. We also ordered mineral water with gas. After all we got the red and still water. Whatever. However, I used to work in a wine bar for almost 2 years, I would attend wine tastings regurarly and even completed a wine course. I objectively can tell if a wine is alright or corked, and if its of great quality. Our wine did not prove to be that tasty. The waiter didnt say it's price, by taste we assumed it was the house wine, the cheapest of all. I got myself a beer that was well priced. It was already into the 30th minute of the game when the waiter came back to ask about food. He was careless, all the questions we had we had to reduce to almost none due to his rapid and sudden leavings of the table. I asked for diavolo pizza. The menu says that it comes with spicy salami on top. Looking around at other tables it was clear that the other guests werent satisfied with the service either. The waiter didnt really care about anyone, he left in the middle of orders and no question could reach his ears. It was already the second half of the game (so after 45 minutes+2 additional time + the break between the two halves) when our pizzas came. Mine was called diavolo but no salami on top, it was something else, maybe crudo. I found it pointless to mention. Pizza was great, not the best we have had in Napoli, but it was good for its price and all. Later the waiter came and chatted some with us about the football game, he was becoming kind of nice. On the bill we found the price of our wine: 25 euros. The bill didnt mention the wine's name, only that it is 'Vino 25'. For someone who worked many years in hospitality this seemed like a joke. We wouldn't mind paying 25 euros for a wine if it was worth the price but it was barely okay. It was served warm, they didn't even store it in a fridge for a night in June. They charge 1.5 euros for sercvice per capita. What would have happened if...
Read moreI want to rate 0 star, but it's impossible. This is the most terrible pizzeria in Naples. Please take few minutes to consider my review and never try pizza and service here. Bad pizza: Topping is the worst ingredient, I think that they are cheap and not fresh. Size is very small but it costs 8 euro (actually this is normal price, but it's too expensive for this pizza size and ingredients. But I think that it was a cheat of waiter and I can tell you why. Horrible service: Waiter cannot speak English, but I knew it and it's not problem. I can speak Italian well but they didn't talk with me, they just focused to my friend (German guy). We ordered two glasses of beer, but they still brought two bottles of water. They let them on table, then a waiter came and opened it, poured to cups while we were drinking our beer. Waiter asked us which size of pizza we prefered. They show only one price on menu and I didn't see any different size in other tables. But they said we had to pay 3 euros more for medium size which I saw on all other tables. I'm sure that they have only one size but they were fraud. If they have two or three size of pizza and it's normal size which everyone order, they must show price on menu. It's really a cheat. After our pizza, we were very full and waiter asked us to order something for dessert. I said no because we were too full. However they still brought a Baba. He said we should try it when we were in Naples. Then we had to pay 6 euro for a sh*t baba. I travelled to Naples 3 times, and I know what the good pizza is and the good Baba is. Finally we had to pay 45 euro for horrible dinner and terrible service. I really like Naples. Though it's quite messy and turbulent, foods and landscapes here are very good. However I think that I will never come back here after I got a cheat by this pizzeria. I strongly recommend that they should change their service (stop roguing) or they should close...
Read moreUnfortunately stumbled across this restaurant on our last day of the trip when we were really hungry after a long day of travel. We were travelling across Italy for two weeks and never felt as uncomfortable as we felt in this restaurant. As mentioned by other reviews, the waiter refuses to give the menus saying they don’t have one or it’s not in English or the prices needed to be updated right from the beginning. The waiter also spoke broken English but the way he pronounced his words definitely looked like he could speak English well but wanted to act like he couldn’t. They kept brining items we did not order, and gave the most expensive wine, even though we said house wine. Kept pushing orders on us and once we understood they were trying to scam us which is 5mins after we got into the restaurant, we refused everything he suggested. Could see they kind of started ignoring us once they realized that they can’t push us into ordering more. I have to admit that the Neapolitan pizza that we ordered was huge and good portions and it was one of the best top 3 pizza’s I have had in my life. At the end the waiter gave us a check with $10 euros charged extra for something that we did not order and demanded we give him a tip. We did not wanted to argue with him since it was last day of our trip and the place started to looks shady after sunset so we paid him. It’s a shame that this place has one of the best pizza’s all in Napoli but couldn’t create a more welcoming atmosphere for its customers. The entire time we were here we felt so paranoid and...
