Il Bistro' da Virginia — Restaurant in Olbia

The overall service was really bad. I hardly ever receive service like this in Italy, and I’ve been to many places, including Stintino last year. One of the waitresses was nice, but the other two, an older lady and a younger girl were quite rude, in the sense that they didn’t seem to care about offering any kind of good service.

We ordered food, which arrived very late. The older lady brought the dishes but couldn’t carry the plate properly, dropped it loudly on the table, and didn’t even apologise. I’m sorry, but if you can’t carry a plate of food, is that the customer’s fault?

Both dishes were extremely salty, perhaps a bad chef on shift that night? One of the side dishes we ordered never arrived. When we went to pay, we had to remind the girl that we didn’t receive it, and she simply removed it from the bill without even an apology. I noticed she was chatting very intimately with another group of customers, presumably her friends while we were being completely ignored.

I’m an Asian man, and I was there with my partner. I’m not sure why we were treated the way we were, but it was incredibly disappointing. I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt I had to this time. We came here on holiday to enjoy ourselves, not to have a bad experience while spending our own money. I wouldn’t recommend this...

Siamo stati in questo ristorante in quanto nelle vicinanze di casa era stato chiuso per circa un anno, speravamo di trovare un luogo dove poter cenare qualche volta in tranquillità. Il posto è molto carino tavoli nella piazzetta adiacente lucine soffuse, peccato che il sottofondo sia da discoteca latino americano (avremo preferito una musica più soft anche nel volume e adatta al contesto di una cena). Esperienza per lo più pessima da dimenticare , ovviamente non ci torneremo seppur appunto a due passi da casa, iniziamo con l'ordinazione, carta dei vini inesistente in carta erano presenti 4/5 varietà di vino bianco di cui solo uno effettivamente ordinabile. (in estate non avere una carta con vini bianchi e non avere vini in fresco lo trovo allucinante) , scelto il vino ovviamente carissimo per la bottiglia che era, ci p stato servito senza farlo assaggiare senza presentare la bottiglia insomma servizio inesistente. Iniziamo la cena prendendo due primi che dobbiamo dire una nota positiva della serata buoni porzione adeguata, a questo punto malgrado i prezzi folli del locale decidiamo di proseguire con un fritto di calamari da dividere, anche qui ci viene detto che probabilmente non era possibile ordinarlo perchè cerano molte comande in coda (premetto in tutto il locale erano presenti 20 coperti , locale vuoto), dopo un confronto col cuoco ci viene detto che il fritto poteva essere servito in tempi ragionevoli, al che lo ordiniamo. Piatto effettivamente arrivato in poco tempo ma scarso sia in quantità veramente misero che in qualità gommoso, bisunto immangiabile , oltretutto per riempire il piatto è stata inserita dell'insalata e due pomodorini non richiesti e non attinenti al piatto (immagino per fare riempimento) se chiedo un fritto voglio un piatto di fritto. Esperienza purtroppo da dimenticare , locale carissimo, non adeguato nel personale , non adeguato nella musica , non adeguato nel menu (abbiamo trovato piatti di fassona ma siamo in piemonte? o in sardegna?) fuori posto.. se volete fare il ristorante di livello dovete dare un servizio all'altezza, avere una carta dei vini adeguata, un menu adeguato e musica adeguata, e piatti adeguati, l'unica cosa che si salva sono stati i primi ed il vino che effettivamente era buono pur non avendo avuto la possibilità di assaggiarlo, ma...

I had a genuinely lovely dinner experience here. It’s away from the “main” town square but only by a few minutes but it offers a tranquil and relaxing dining experience. All I could hear during my dinner was the sound of the fountain in the square and the lovely background music they had playing. The atmosphere is fantastic if you’re looking for a relaxed dining experience. The service was very efficient and friendly. I had the ravioli pomodoro and it was delicious. The wine is also great. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had. The prices are also very reasonable, considerably less expensive than in the main tourist square. Come here for an authentic Italian dining experience.
