Il Vecchio Porto Garden — Restaurant in Olbia

Two time we tried to eat at this place, 1st it was a bit busy, nobody else was waiting, we were told 40 min wait, we said ok no problem, then te attitude of the waiter changed, obviously disturbed, he left. Tried to talk with another waiter, we were told there was a table of 30 people and they are very busy, we said ok, thank you and we left. 2 days later we tried again, on a Monday at 18:00, around 5-6 tables with customers, we were YES is not busy, outside were 2-3 drops of rain, the same waiter from 2 days prior told us that it's raining and he will not get wet to serve us food, we said, is just 2-3 drops it looks like it will not rain, we can have a drink and if the sky clears we order food, again bisturbed he left making a sign to his head like we were stupid. Other waiters were bringing pillows for the chairs, he was taking them away. In the meantime 2 more customers left leaving the cutlery on the bar. When I asked to talk to a manager, guess what, he said he is the manager, Giovanni (he wasn't wearing a name badge) but by the way the other waiters were listening to him, I do believe he is the manager. Now what else can you do in this situation ? We left, again, this time we are not coming back.

21.00 we enter , a nice gentlemen at the bar says that’s a bit of waiting for food, 15 min he says - No problem for us It’s 15 minutes waiting for a table it appears , - 21.15 we are led to the tables , but we are given no cards! We wait another 10 minutes for the cards 21.35 we order : mussels , pizza and pasta, water, a drink and an orange juice 21.42 we receive the drink but no water, orange juice we will not receive until the end of the dinner, for the water i need to ask 3 times 21.50 we got the food but not the one we had ordered, but it's ok - at least we have something to eat

the food was tasty , but the service approach is a bit bizzare i have an impression that with good management and few service decisions this could be the best...

A truly disappointing experience at Il Vecchio Porto in Olbia. I was told there was no pizza – only to see the table next to me receive three pizzas shortly after. The service was extremely rude, disinterested, and we had to call them over several times just to place an order. Not once were we asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything – the staff clearly preferred chatting with the bartender at the bar rather than taking care of their guests. The €2.50 service charge per person for the waiter is absolutely unjustified. The food was okay at best, but ultimately underwhelming – and it was cold when it arrived. For such a prime location, this restaurant is a huge letdown. There are much better options just...
