Ristorante Art Academy — Restaurant in Olbia

The service here is terrible, when we arrived to the restaurant the host was standing outside chatting to a group of ten of his friends who were all blocking the doorway. It was unclear if they were waiting for a table so we stood behind them waiting for a staff member to guide us. At this point we did not realise the host was there among the group talking. The host did not greet us and it was only that one of the group told us to go in ahead of them that we eventually moved in. Then the host reluctantly decided to stop chatting to his friends and seat us. The restaurant had just 8 customers at the time we were seated. There were too few waiting staff and those that were working had no customer service skills. The food was mediocre at best. When we went to pay after sitting with our dirty plates in-front of us for over 20 minutes and having been ignored by the waiting staff (no offer of another drink or dessert…isn’t this where restaurants can increase their profit margins?) the same host did not even bother to ask if we enjoyed our meal etc, just rudely asked where we were sitting. While we were waiting to pay there was an employee sitting at an indoor table smoking a cigarette. Such a strange experience. We have been there with about 35 People for dinner, with reservation. The food took very long to be served with the first dishes arriving after about 1,5h, completely cold. I can assure you you don't want to eat your steak and fries cold. The service is slow and the waitress does not really respond do your calls. Apparently the don't need the money. In the end, they even tried to spoil us with the bill. Everybody has paid but there were still about 90€ left. After some discussion, the amount could be reduced to about 75€. In the end the discussion was over very quickly when we asked the Owner why there were 4 different prices for the same 0,3l beer. We had paid between 3,20€ and 5,5€ for the same beer, noted down on our bills. The owner did not explain but just said that everything is paid now and we should go immediately. This is definitively not the way you want to be treated or cheated in a "fine" restaurant. By the way, the food wasn't only cold but did't taste that good either. Definitively not for recommendation!!!...

Great restaurant with friendly staff and excellent meat dishes.they have a lot of pasta, meat and fish dishes. My recommendation:Churrascaria menu contains small starter dishes (cold and warm plate such as cheese, so usage, couscous, prawns, vegetables) +good quality fries (handmade) and 7 different meats that are cut for you at the table. Meat is grilled on fire and sliced for you one by one from spit on the table. You get turkey, pig, beef. Really tasteful and unique experience. There is always busy so got to book an table before but when you are early enough then you get also table without reservation. Excellent wines. A lot of locals eat here as well. Nice location in some smaller side street in the centrum of olbia. Also enough space - they have two big rooms inside, bar and taras. Also wide dessert choice (10desserts).
