Cute little gem hidden in the nooks and crannies of the small town called Orgosolo. Was recommended this place by our host. For lunch everything was closed in town except for a couple ‘snack bars’ that serve stale bread and cold beers. Needless to say I’d build myself quite an appetite and was looking forward to having a homemade feast recommended by both google and locals. Ordered the grill mix with a side of potatoes. Meat was alright, bit underseasoned for my taste, but that might be a personal preference. The potatoes I’ve had on multiple occasions outside of Sardegna, normally they can be bought in bags of 2 kilos and up. The serving we had tasted like it had been heated maybe a dozen times before and then added a dash of thyme or something to freshen them up for show time. But I can’t be fooled when it comes to taters and I’m sure these babies had traveled further and longer than me, since the time they’d been in their new sprouted shape of a spud. Had the raviolone too, supposedly homemade. But like the spuds it tasted like something you buy from the Italian freezer in lidl and heat up after a night of binge drinking. Or if it was homemade it had been treated like the black sheep of the family. Unloved and slightly cold. Red wine tasted like port wine, and I have no idea why. Had a tomato salad with ricotta and pecorino. The pecorino was nice. By mistake I ended up here and with a bit of luck I’ll never be back. You can all disagree and call me whatever bad names you may, whatever the internet will allow. These are my thoughts and google is kindly waiting with arms wide open to accept whatever comes in. Scroll past me or put me on a mantle...

Service : let's start with the worst : the service. First of all, is not clear where to ask to be served. But when you finally find someone, you are bothering them (especially the woman). You don't feel welcome and they don't speak a word of English (wich doesn't bother me). We were with our 21 months old baby for who we didn't order anything to eat and they still charged us a coperto for her. Furthermore, they made us pay for our baby and they don't even have a changing table (first time in Sardinia).
Place : clean, dark in the levels, nice on the rooftop.
Food : ok for the price, totally simple. We had ravioline 8€ and homemade pasta 10€.
There is not many option in town but I...
Read moreWell as a Vegetarian you don't have lots of options.. ordered the Ravioli cause it was written with spinach anf potatoes. There was meat inside which was not written in the menu otherwise I would have asked whitout meat... Had also a Caprese and wow this was disappointing! In a place where locals sell on the street homemade good olive oil I expect also good olive oil in a restaurant (which was recommended by locals) and not a box with oil and vinegar in a commercial small baggie like ketchup and mayo 😂 but the place looks cute and the waiter was nice and I am sure if you eat meat you will be happier than me...
