Tucked away in a cozy corner of town, Ristorante Nuovo Inizio offers a breath of fresh Italian cuisine, emphasizing both tradition and a modern twist. The restaurant's name, translating to "New Beginning," echoes in its decor and the innovative presentation of dishes, promising an experience of rebirth and discovery with each visit.
The culinary journey at Nuovo Inizio is a testament to the richness of Italian gastronomy. Among the standout dishes, the "Cavatelli con cozze e fiori di zucca" is a delightful combination of mussels and courgette flowers, beautifully marrying the freshness of the sea with the earthiness of the garden. Another notable dish, "Orecchiette con cime di rapa", brings together turnip tops and anchovies in a bold ensemble enhanced by stracciatella and scented bread crumbs. The "Orecchiette con braciole" offers a hearty embrace with its robust flavors of chops, while the "Pure di fave e cicoria" presents a comforting mix of mashed beans and chicory, simple yet profound.
The wines, too, deserve mention, particularly the "Quota 29 Susumaniello", a remarkable red that pairs splendidly with the menu. This wine, with its deep roots in the Apulian tradition, complements the rich flavors of the dishes with its robust and fruity profile, making each bite a deeper dive into the region's culinary heritage.
Nuovo Inizio isn't just a meal; it's a storytelling session where each dish contributes to the narrative of Italian culinary art. The plating is immaculate, adding a visual feast that precedes the actual dining experience. Whether you're a local or a traveler, a meal here is akin to visiting a culinary museum where every dish exhibits a piece of Italian culinary history.
In conclusion, Nuovo Inizio is more than just a dining spot; it's a place where every end of a meal feels like the beginning of a new understanding and appreciation of Italian cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the depths of Italy's rich...
Read moreRead moreDecided to come here because of the great review, left quite disappointed. Although I don't really like to write bad reviews, I felt quite cheated by the overwhelming good reviews of this place. The service was a mess, I think something was going on as the kitchen staff was also serving tables and the only waiter around was clearly clueless on what to do and he stayed by the door 90% of the time. For example, we ordered a bottle of wine for the table and I had to remind him to bring it after 15/20 min of waiting. It took around 1,5/2 hours to get 1 appetiser for the table to share, 1 main course each (we were 4) and 1 second course to share. Which I would understand if the place was full, but there were basically 3-4 other tables of 2 people, so it was not crowded at all. The food was really average if not below. I say this as an Italian with a great passion for cooking/eating. We ordered the orecchiette with the horse ragu, and I think the horse ran away from that sauce, because it was nowhere to be found. The ravioli with cime di rapa, the portion was 5 ravioli, which for the price and quality it's very small. If those were the best 5 ravioli of my life I would understand, but clearly they were not. We ordered as a second to share the horse braciole -- one arrived. If someone had only ordered that, they would be utterly disappointed. Overall I think this restaurant is trying to be high class with the quality just above of a tourist trap restaurant. Really the most average food we had during our whole...
We were looking for another restaurant when we arrived in front of the Nuovo Inizio. This name (A new beginning) sounded right to us, and the way the chief said "Buona sera" made us change our plan. And it was a really good decision. The restaurant stands in an old house with original walls, in a comfortable and cosy ambiance. The menu is really large and offers fish, meat, vegetarian dishes, and also pizzas. We wanted a pizza. My wife took a vegetarian one called Ortolana. I choosed a Princessa. In the meanwhile they offered us a type of bruschetta completely home made: delicious. And the bread and olive oil they brought were amazingly good. Finally the pizzas. Well, I ate a pizza in different places in Italy, even in Napoli, but this pizza was simply one of the best I had the chance to taste. It was perfectly cooked. Really thin pizza bread, but really crunchy and strong enough to support all the topped ingredients. My pizza was made with Parma ham (really tasty and in real huge quantity), straciatela cheese, Grana padano chips, rucola, all really fresh and tasty. Even the tomato sauce was perfectly cooked. Same for my wife with all the grilled vegetables on her pizza. And the Chief comes often to the tables, taking really care of his clients. And the waitress was also so kind with us. Thank you very much, Grazie mille, for the passion you put in what you cook and serve in your restaurant. We'll come back as soon as...
