It’s rare for me to leave a bad review, I usually just don’t go back. The service was worse than the food. Bad service i understand when they’re busy, but rude service is different. The waiter wouldn’t look at me when I was ordering and when I asked a question about the platter and drink he ignored me again looking the other way then just went yeah yeah yeah. The Hugo was very sweet with no mint in it. We ordered sparkling water when we first sat down ,it didn’t come. Asked again, then still water came with a big lump of ice in it so you couldn’t pour it. Took me a while to flag down someone else to ask them to switch the water. The water didn’t come so I asked again and finally it did. A couple next to us got up and left as they hadn’t been greeted and had to ask for a menu. Then they were ignored again for a long time. We ordered the platter with meatballs, cured meat and cheese. The serving size was good, the food was ok, nothing special. I couldn’t finish my drink as it had so much syrup in it. We then said excuse me to same waiter that took our order to ask for bill, he totally ignored me until my husband was like hey! This restaurant was busy yet felt hostile! I couldn’t wait to leave. We’ve had some wonderful food and such friendly service at other restaurants, that’s why this one stood out. If the food was excellent maybe I could handle the attitude...

Excellent food but I was LIED TO and SCAMMED. I went in on the basis of a promotion for €12 (pizza, pasta, or cheese bored) inclusive of a drink.

I sat down to order a pizza and asked which ones were incisive in the promotion. The waiter told me “all of them”.

I ordered a pizza from the menu I was given, and an aperol spritz, expecting the €12 promotion.

At the end of the meal they asked for €18. When I politely questioned it, they belittled me and 3-4 more staff made me out to be stupid, denying any promotion, and (with their usual provocative Italian mannerisms), even state “what are we, a supermarket!?”.

It turns out they are full of lies, despite otherwise good food. “Did you take a picture!?” No. But ironically I am an influencer who had just finished filming in Palermo and still had the GoPro with me.

As a global traveller of almost 12 months, this is the first time I have been exposed to this kind of scam. They must have pulled the board as the restaurant filled up, before the earlier diners had finished and proceeded to ask for the bill - and presumably challenge it.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Honestly the worst pizza I’ve ever ordered in my life. We ordered to take away and walked back to our apartment (which was about a minute away) and not only was the pizza cold, but also soaking wet (see videos). The box was soaked on the inside and the entire crust of the pizza was drenched. I was quite astounded considering the massive stone-bake oven, but then again the pizzas were ready to go within the time it took us to go to the toilet.

We’ve seen some reviews about overcharging - even with the €17 euro we paid, it was not worth it. Please save your money and go...
