Nice location compared to the average low quality of the city. Some dishes were ok, as you'd expect for the price. Service timing unacceptable. Waiting 30 minutes and more between courses on a Thursday evening is already far too much... Being asked if we would like to order desserts while we still didn't even get main course gives the clear view of staff not knowing what it's happening in the hall. And when, in the end of the evening, we eventually get the list for cakes, we are left for 10 minutes waiting while the waiter cleans tables and doesn't give a damn about one of the only two tables who still has customers. We decide to quit on cakes and go to pay. And we waited again until a lady comes, in a 'dress' that would be suitable for a street food, not for a restaurant where we paid 95 euro in two without ordering a bottle of wine. At least a comic moment to end a disappointing dinner. Too bad because the fish carbonara was all salt but the rest of the food was on a good level and the location interesting, even if surrounded by the loud screams the kids playing soccer in the...
Read moreThe food may well be good, but we never tried it. This is not recommended if you're not from here. We came here for my mum’s birthday, and it wasn’t busy at the time, so there was no reason for the lack of a welcome. We've been in Palermo for a week and the service and food have been great - friendly and delicious respectively. It’s a really nice city to visit and the people are lovely, though apparently not at this restaurant. We sat down here and ended up just having a drink before leaving, because the waiter was massively irritated with us for no reason. There were no pleasantries at any stage, and it was our first time getting this reaction while in Palermo. We saw him complaining about us to the lady who runs the restaurant. Not everyone speaks great Italian and is super familiar with a local menu. When it came to ordering, he ultimately told us that three of the five dishes that we wanted were not available, which he should have told us at the outset. At this point, we decided that it was time to cut our...
Read moreThe worst experience in our whole trip to Sicily. When we arrived to this restaurant we are the only guests. It was pretty clear that the place was very touristic and you couldn't expect great delicatessen, but we were hungry, so we ordered pizza. After 25 minutes of waiting it didn't arrive yet. However, other guests that arrived later were being served. We reminded the waiter about the pizza and he told it would arrive soon. 15 minutes later (after a total of 40 minutes waiting) pizzas were still not served and "coming soon". We got up and walked away, because the waiting was becoming just ridiculous. And - what a surprise - we were followed by 2 people from the restaurant shouting at us and demanding to pay for 2 glasses of water that we had (and that were actually part of the offer with pizza). They were extremely rude and didn't even try to apologize for our waiting so long. Place to avoid at any cost. They just want to get money out of the tourists and don't care about the...
