Since then they have changed their staff and obviously, the owners are not really present here. We had a very weird experience there some weeks ago: the waiters and the waitresses were flirting and chatting among themselves, answering really badly to customers' questions. They were obviously making fun of us and every request from any customer was received with annoyance. There was a foreigner boy, who seemed to be their supervisor, bus was clearly excluded from their gang and he was too shy to talk to them about their behaviour. So we had our dinner with a waiter smoking in the door next to us, we were served the wrong food and got insulted when we complained. We used to love this place, but we rather book a table in their other restaurant where the owners keep an eye on...

Uno dei migliori couscous che abbia mai assaggiato, e lo dico avendo provato più volte la versione tradizionale nella zona del trapanese — da Trapani a Marsala fino a San Vito Lo Capo. Il couscous di pesce alla trapanese di Kus Kus ai Leoni è un capolavoro che unisce in modo armonioso la tradizione araba e la maestria siciliana: pesce freschissimo, couscous profumato e arricchito con mandorle tostate, concentrato di pomodoro e una zuppa di pesce intensa. Quel leggero tocco di cannella ha aggiunto una nota orientale inconfondibile, che racconta la Sicilia come terra di incontri e contaminazioni di sapori e culture.

Il servizio è stato impeccabile: nonostante il locale fosse pieno, il personale ci ha seguiti con attenzione e cortesia fino all’ultimo minuto, facendoci sentire accolti e coccolati.

Se posso permettermi un piccolo suggerimento, riguarda il dessert: il semifreddo alle mandorle, pur buono, non ha convinto me né gli altri commensali per la mancanza di quella parte solida che lo avrebbe reso più completo e bilanciato. Un dettaglio facilmente migliorabile, che in nulla toglie alla straordinaria esperienza vissuta qui.

We had couscous for lunch here. We were set to order pizza and then told no pizza at lunchtime. We both had couscous with meat. It was tasty, a tiny bit spicy.
