This restaurant has a great location. Right on the busy Piazza Del Popolo. So it's a good place to have a meal and watch the world go by.
One could think that given the prominent location the food could be only mediocre. You couldn't be more wrong. It's fantastic food. Fair prices, friendly and helpful staff as well.
We sat down on a table outside, our Bulldog was welcome as well. Ordered two glasses of Puglian White Wine. Had the Paccheri pasta with seafood and the Tuna carbonara spaghetti (egg yolk, pecorino cheese and tuna). It was a nice twist, serving Tuna on the Carbonara. Pasta was nice and heavy, cooked perfectly al dente. A great combination of flavours. The Tuna works well in this meal. The Seafood (shrimp, langoustines, mussels, clams, razor clams, squid) was fresh and of high quality. A good amount as well. And the presentation was wonderful. And just 13 Euros for that. Great value.
This was one of the meals we've had on our Italian Road Trip 2020 that we always love to remember. Great location, good food, nice staff. Great value. The whole package. Highly...
Read moreTaverna de Peschici is a truly fascinating restaurant with great seafood offerings. Nestled inside a captivating cave, the ambiance is unique, though be aware that cellphone signal can be spotty. However, the staff truly have your back and are happy to share their Wi-Fi❣️
I was personally blown away by their spaghettoni with octopus and their tempura prawns – I'm still dreaming about those incredible bites! It's no wonder this place comes highly recommended by locals as perhaps the best seafood in town, and in a fisherman's village like Peschici, that speaks volumes about its quality.
Beyond the fantastic food and intriguing setting, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our servers took excellent care of us throughout the entire evening, ensuring a wonderful dining experience.
If you're in Peschici, I highly recommend a visit to Taverna de Peschici for their delicious seafood, attentive service, and...
Read moreA classic tourist place where the food is mediocre and a tad overpriced. Don't get me wrong - 15 eur for a second dish might be a standard price in Peschici, but at least the food must stun your palate.. which just didn't happen last night.
In this place they try hard to look like a fancy restaurant but there's no class to it. Good for a quick fix if you don't mind spending a little too much for what you get.
We had an octopus with cream of mashed potatoes and mozzarella, which tasted like a dish I can make at home using canned fish. The pasta is homemade and good, though, but we'd expected more than FOUR mussels in a mussel pasta.
We weren't in a mood for a dessert. The owner was trying hard to make a good impression and offered us both (also to my wife who is 7th month pregnant:) a limoncello, which was a...
