Gistrò Cucina&Pizza — Restaurant in Peschiera del Garda

Ordered a 26€ beef "with potato chips". Potato chips were apparently the sprinkles on top of the beef. See picture. I asked the waiter if I had misunderstood the menu and he pointed this out. He then said "I can bring you some fries", I said yes please. My partner finished her dish and I had to watch my beef grow cold as I waited for 25min to get a bowl of fries. Neither the fries nor the beef were all that tasty either despite the very nice presentation of the dish. When it was time to pay i told our waiter that i thought it would be fair if I didn't have to pay for the fries (5€) as waiting for them had me waiting such a long time and eating cold beef. He became rude even though I didn't direct any criticism towards him. He had me follow inside to pay. I had to talk to another girl there who was also very rude. In the end I didn't pay for the fries. The rude treatment when i had a complaint and requested a small compensation sort of canceled out the monetary compensation though so all in all it leaves a bad taste. We tend to stay clear of the fancier looking places when on holiday but had noticed this one got a good score when looking for pizza. When walking past a table had just become available and having had a few pre dinner wines decided to try. Service very prompt and waiter really good. Went for couple of pizzas and a bottle of their better wine just for a treat. Made a nice fuss of bringing the wine out and then short time later the pizza. As we found in a few places here the pizza base is very light and crispy. Bit more olive oil I would think. Makes it a very easy pizza to eat and you don't feel very stuffed which is good. Even had room for couple of desserts. Nice to sit and watch the whole square and relax as even though busy never felt rushed. Well worth...

I had a very disappointing experience at Gistro. The staff exhibited unprofessional behavior throughout my visit. They repeatedly ignored the queue, showing a clear preference for customers from Italy. This favoritism was blatant and very frustrating for other patrons.

Additionally, I was shocked to witness them selling beer to minors. This is not only illegal but also highly irresponsible. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful and law-abiding establishment. Avoid...
