Osteria sugli Scavi — Restaurant in Peschiera del Garda

This is not a restaurant, this is a scam. This is not an italian restaurant, this is a tourist trap. You should avoid. The pizza is not pizza, it is a heated up bread with tomato sauce and thrown prosciutto on top. Looks nice but when you say PIZZA on the menu, you expect an actual pizza, not a tired small flatbread. And for 13€. So disappointing. The Mozarella Caprese salad is also a joke, with barely cut (maybe 5) tomatoes and mozarella balls with dry basil thrown on top. 12€? Give me a break. Just a total scam, nothing to do with the beautiful place. Avoid. There are plenty of other restaurants. Not to mention that the fans they had outside could not help the torrid heat....

If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience in a very touristic area, this place is a true gem. Open during unconventional hours, it was incredibly convenient for our schedule. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and made us feel right at home. The food? Absolutely extraordinary — every dish was a celebration of real Italian flavors. The best restaurant in Peschiera. We were positively suprised by the staff who works there, everyone is nice and polite, smiling all the time, which is defenitely not a rule in the rest of restaurants in this city. The carbonara was delicious. The pizza is different than others which makes it special. It's smaller but tasty and it's a good alternative if you don't want to be overeaten but still full. No coperto included which results in actually being happy with giving a tip for such a nice service. Definitely an underrated place and...
