⭐ Review of Gustosa Bar Risto, Peschiera del Garda
During a lovely walk through the charming streets of Peschiera, we came across Gustosa Bar Risto — centrally located and inviting. We were seated at the outermost tables, which were comfortable, although one of us was practically sitting in the street. Fair enough — it's understandable that the restaurant needs to maximize its seating. No complaints there.
We adore Italy and its classic cuisine, so of course we had to try the pizza. Let me say right away: service was fast! Drinks and food arrived promptly, and the pizza tasted great. A solid culinary experience, no doubt.
Unfortunately, the overall impression took a hit due to the service that followed. One of us barely had a chance to finish chewing before the plates were cleared, and no one asked if we’d like another drink or dessert. It felt as though we were being rushed out to make space for the next guests — who were already lining up. It was ungraceful and made us feel like tourists being processed quickly rather than welcomed diners.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian atmosphere and an experience where you can settle in and savor your meal — this restaurant might not be the right choice. But if you're simply hungry and want a quick bite before moving on, then Gustosa is absolutely perfect...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. We had a big group of 13 of us. Half of the people had their mains brought out while half of the people had their starters brought out. Bread was brought out after mains were brought out which is obviously backwards... drinks were mixed up there was drinks brought out of the same. Some were completely wrong. One of us had ordered a veal which was written on the menu. When it came out it obviously wasn't veel we asked we were told by one waiter it was chicken we asked again and told it was pork. We wanted to send it back for the veal then were told there is none and asked to order something this is when people had already finished mains and starters??? 😂😂 napkins were dirty and table next to us sent back their meal back cause they had raw food?! The girls were lovely and were very nice. Speaking with the manager he obviously didn't care and tried to tell me that this is one of the best restaurants in italy and didn't care but I couldnt contain my laughter in his face. While trying to speak with the manager one of the Mario looking waiters tried to push me out of the way on my back shoulder to reach the bar but obviously nearly tried to do it to make a point. Goodluck if you try eat here its at...
Read moreI don't often leave bad reviews, I normally go out of my way to leave positive reviews. We ordered our 18 month old the Bolognese kids meal and asked if there was a highchair, straight away told no. Thought he might have misheard but got an even clearer no on the second ask. On our way out they brought out a highchair for another table. I said to my husband "oh do you think they misheard?". He'd seen them bring out highchairs behind me shortly after I'd asked, but not mentioned it to me because he felt uncomfortable asking again. My daughter sat on my husbands lap the whole meal, spilling Bolognese down him and making it hard for him to eat his pizza - whether they understood me or not, we obviously needed a highchair. Awful service, average food. On a positive note the baby did love the Bolognese and drama of it - the Bolognese was very much like what I make...
