La Bottega del Parco Restaurant — Restaurant in Pisa

I booked to stay here for one night as catching an early flight our of PIA the next day...||I arrived at around 6pm and although staff were lovely it’s basically a restaurant with rooms over top. The restaurant doesn’t open until 7.30 but you can manage to get a drink around 7. It’s really noisy as the restaurant is really popular (why I’m not quite sure because it’s slap bang next to the motorway and close to the airport).||Anyway, I did eat in the restaurant (see separate review) and the food and service were ok. Whilst bedrooms are comfortable, clean and spacious the noise from restaurant feels like there’s no insulation so you can hear everything and you have to wait for not just noisy customers but also noisy staff clearing down after the restaurant has closed. Once I eventually managed to get to sleep I’m then woken again by someone randomly knocking on my door and other room doors at 1am then more noise as people start leaving at 4am!||All in all I think I’d have had a better night’s sleep sleeping in the airport and saving myself €65! I’d advise booking elsewhere if sleep is...

This place was very clean and the staff were lovely. There was food and drinks laid out in the room and free bottles of water also in a common areas fridge. Air conditioning was great. I didn't get to go to the restaurant downstairs but it looked lovely and had a good vibe. I owe a debt of gratitude to the staff of the restaurant who very kindly helped me out of a difficult bind. Friendliest people I met in Italy. I would definitely stay here again with a different flight time. The only issue which has nothing to do with the accomodation is that in Pisa you can't pre-book a taxi before 4 am which causes a difficulty for early morning flights as the airport shuttle (Pisa mover) doesn't start until 6 am either. The Pisa mover is though a great way to get into town from the accommodation as one of the stops (airport carpark one) is beside it. It goes as far as the main train station.
