Gelateria Belvedere — Restaurant in Pizzo

If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. We were looking to eat a Tiramisu, and since we didn‘t find it on the menu we were considering getting up again to find another place- but we were then told that they do have Tiramisu, in spite of it not being on the menu. So we ordered it, but what we got was nothing like actual Tiramisu. We got a block of cream with a slight taste of espresso, no lady fingers / biscuits at all except for one extremely skinny slice on the side, as you can see in the picture. Literally tasted like straight up espresso cold foam! We were charged 8€ for this, which we think is a shame for what we got. The staff was very pushy and not too polite. Great bar in Pizzo... The location is in the heart of city in the main street... "il gatto" have amazing tradition, one of oldest, from 1901...it's big Caffe with so many places to seat... I was there so many times and their tartuffo ice cream is always so delicious and taste... I prefer tartuffo nero... Their price is really correct... Owner and people who work there is so kind and helpful... They are open all day from early morning until late hours... All recommendations for visit and eat tartuffo and drink something if you are in Pizzo and that part...

An institution since 1901.We've been coming back to this gelateria for years. The coffee is excellent, the tartufo delicious and the staff is efficient and friendly. They are in a prime location right in the main piazza and the patio is wonderful to sit and people watch. Don't be afraid to order the famous tartufo before noon. We were passing through and craved one at 10 am and kind of felt silly ordering one so early...the staff knows people come from all over the world to have tartufo in the town where it originated from-and were...
