Bad service, good food.
To a table that we reserved by telephone to 21:00 we were accompanied at 21:10 because the restaurant, according to the hostess, was too busy and not ready to accomodate the rush of persons. At the table in the inner side of the restaurant, surrounded only by babies and kids, that obviously aren't the owner's fault but did affected our attempt to relax, the atmosphere was hot and stressed together with a busboy running around with crates filled with supply through the busy tables. To the bottled water ordered to the table we received plastic cups, which will be reasonable to the pandmic, if the pint of beer wouldn't arrive anyway in a glass.
Three (3) apptizers or "anti pasti" were delievered at the table with big diffrences between them. Always properly made and delicious.
Main course to our choise, "Gniocci alla Sorrentina" x 3, never arrived until we approached one (1) of the running-wild waiters and asked to the problem with a dish that takes normally 10 minutes to prepare. After a 45 minutes wait and other two (2) personnel we had to disturb, approached our table a waiter explaining that accidently our table's bill was paid by another costumer 2t minutea ago, ergo, our orders were deleted. When trying to understand the root of the problem and asking for a simple explanation to how all the restaurant personnel were just running without asking themselves "shouldn't table no. 14 be empty?" - the waiter rapidly answer that mistakes can happen as they are only human. Understandable, as long the mistakes are being taken care of ASAP and didn't need my own intervention to manage the restaurant's orders.
The Gniocci alla Sorrentina finally arrived and it was actually a very good, tasty dish. Unfortunatly accompanied with the worst service and accomodation I have ever...
Read moreThe food was good, I especially loved the dessert but I was really sad that we felt very ignored. We were seated quickly and not too long after our server came to take our order. We got our drinks and then about an hour went by and my partner asked if I had actually ordered multiple times and I was sure I did. As we sat, the staff kept moving tables all around us (and very near to us) and we would have been happy to move somewhere else while we waited but no one would talk to us. After another 15 minutes, (I’m assuming at that point we were just in their way and they were irritated since it seemed like they were talking about us and looking our way) our server came back and said the kitchen lost our order (one pizza to share). So we waited about 20 minutes longer and then our food came. He walked away so quickly my partner nor I didn’t have a chance to ask him for a drink refill. When the food arrived, we ate quickly as we both felt like we were bothering them and then when we were done someone came up and asked if we were finished and with our nod, quickly grabbed our plates and started to walked away and I was able to get his attention long enough to order the dessert for take away. They brought it quickly and as soon as we stood up and barely walked away they started moving our table and chairs. I felt very unwanted in the restaurant and it was very uncomfortable. I hope others’ experiences are better than this as the food...
Read moreUpdated reviews. Following my initial review I have attended here 3 times 1 take away and 2 dine ins The take away although the pizza was nice they were extremely high prices for a Margareta and marinara the most expensive in the area for OK traditional pizzas nothing special to justify nearly double the price to the other local pizzeria and cost nearly double for a takeaway than that I could of got it delivered on justeat. The next sit down was disappointing, we got one pizza given wrong and the salad was not a cesar salad and also not that fresh. They also gave us an extra coke than we ordered and charged us quite a bit for very basic order. The next visit was even worse treatment and we waited nearly an hour for 2 pizzas and a cesar salad which we were assured this time would be excellent but wasn't at all. The cesar salad was awful, the chicken was not grilled and was dry and stale, the lettuce was not fresh, there was no cheese, the tomatoes were sparce and tasteless and as locals who live round the corner we did not expect the €7.50 to Sit down especially given the near hour wait for 2 pizzas basic ones and a salad. This is likely to stop me ever going to this place again. It is expensive, poor service and poor quality and still they charge full price even when the salad was so bad it couldn't be eaten. Avoid
Initial review Great pizza's, kind helpful owner who also works there. Delicious...
