If you have to choose one place to eat while in Pompeii, I highly recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I stayed in Pompeii for a few days and walked by this restaurant multiple times and always commented on how great the food looked.
We ate here our last night and it was fantastic! The service was incredible, the staff was friendly and spoke English, they even told us about a 'stray dog' that came by while we were there. The owner put out a small plate for him and he ate and left (without paying, mind you). He has a food route and each restaurant puts out a little bit for him, apparently for the last 10 years. Truly living his best life in Pompeii!
We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees, one pictured. It was so good, we wished we didn't save the best for last. The owner came out at the end of the evening and we chatted for a bit. They opened last October (2022) and are thankful to have found such a wonderful location. It truly is... right on the corner overlooking the center of downtown Pompeii with plenty of outdoor seating. 5+...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed in Pompeii for four nights on a girls’ trip and ate out every evening — but we only discovered Ristorante Spinelli Bistrot on our last night and we instantly regretted not finding it sooner! It would have been the only place we’d have dined at.
Everything was absolutely brilliant — from the friendly, welcoming staff and the warm, relaxed atmosphere to the truly amazing food. Each dish was bursting with flavour and we even found ourselves sharing our excitement with other guests at nearby tables.
The highlight of the evening was the tiramisu — it was so delicious that my friend actually started to cry while eating it. That says it all!
The restaurant sits on a busy corner of the square, but the noise never got in the way. You can easily chat, laugh and enjoy your meal without distraction.
This is the only review I’m leaving from all the places we ate during our trip — because this one genuinely deserves it. Highly recommended and absolutely worth 5...

We began with panko breaded prawns. Cooked to perfection. Crispy crust with tender, delicious flesh inside. The pink sauce is a bit more than needed, but a nice twist on a tartar sauce.
Our entrees were the gnocchi a la Sorrentina and the mixed seafood special with spaghetti. Both dishes were divine. My wife's spaghetti tasted of the sea in every bite. Squid, flaky fish, shrimps, garlic, tomatoes chef's kiss. Meanwhile my gnocchi was the best I've ever had. Fresh basil atop a wonderfully cheesy tomato sauce, with perfectly cooked pearls of potato.
Capping off our two week vacation to Italy, we only regret two things: 1) we didn't try Spinelli Bistrot earlier, so that we could return before we leave tomorrow, and 2) we did not have more cash on hand to leave a bigger tip. The service was great. Very attentive and helpful. We loved everything...
