Taverna all'Oca Bianca — Restaurant in Pontremoli

We were told to come to this town by an antique shop owner that said I was his favorite restaurant and town. We are so glad we listened to him! The best meal of the trip and possibly the best food I have ever eaten!!! We had a group of 6 and went on a Friday for 12 and just walked in. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the staff was very friendly. Lots of gluten free options for my wife. She ended up getting the beef carpaccio, it was a mountain of beef and cheese and then they shaved black truffle all over it!!! Tasted unreal! I got the venison rague and it was so good! Our table also got meat, and zucchini plate, a pesto dish , a spicy prawn, stock and garlic and a butter, garlic and zucchini flower pasta with shaved truffles that was an unbelievable bite!! Our train was delayed and we had 90 mins spare so we decided to go into Pontremoli to eat something. What a wonderful amazing meal we had. The pasta is fresh, the waitress so fast, the vino casa excellent. Do yourself a favor and make the best decision for today and eat here. Best experience ever.
