We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for a wedding, and I must say, my expectations for vegan options are typically quite low, especially in a place like Sardinia where finding satisfying plant-based meals can be a challenge. However, to my absolute delight, La vecchia Tonnara surpassed all my expectations and delivered one of the finest vegan dining experiences I've ever had.

Despite being renowned for their fresh seafood and non-vegan dishes, the restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences. They crafted a fully personalized course for me, which consisted of a starter, three mouthwatering main courses, and a decadent dessert.

La vecchia Tonnara is a gem in Portoscuso. Right on the beach you can have a sensation of eating the best spaghetti alla bottarga with you feet in the water. Martina and the staff are very kind and attentive to make your desire come through. The food quality and selection exalt Portoscuso and sardigna's culinary tradition with a touch of class that make the whole experience unique and memorable. Do due stelle solo perché il cibo è innegabilmente buono, ma tutto il resto non ne meriterebbe neanche una. Il personale è scorbutico, poco disponibile e svogliato: ho aspettato mezz’ora in piedi perché mi dessero una sedia mentre le persone con cui ero erano già sedute, il proprietario prende le comande e si permette di sbeffeggiare i clienti come se fosse un locale di cabaret e i camerieri, seppur riconosco alle prime armi, commettono errori che, in un ristorante in periodo di punta, innervosiscono il cliente. I prezzi, per il servizio offerto, sono sin troppo alti, l’attesa non ne parliamo: un locale non può basarsi solo su buona materia prima e bella vista, perché i clienti non hanno la memoria corta!

Aggiungo dopo l’egregia risposta del proprietario che deve ringraziare che i ristoranti non chiudano causa mancanza di educazione del personale: non mi era mai capitato di vedere una tale pochezza, ma vedendo altri commenti (non di amici e parenti magari!) capisco che è proprio prerogativa del ristorante. A proposito, mi sembra informato sull’Eurospin, forse è lì che prende le sue “prelibatezze”? Sarà scontata anche la professionalità a quanto pare, perché nei ristoranti di porto scuso si mangia il triplo meglio anche allo stesso prezzo, forse lo sbaglio non è del cliente medio ma del proprietario ben...
