Ristorante La Bitta dei F.lli Casto — Restaurant in Porto Venere

Wowowowowowowowowowowow!!!! Absolutely a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Had we eaten here the first night we were in Fezzano, we probably would have gone back every night.

BEST MUSSELS I HAVE EVER EATEN. We did the mussels appetizer and we're absolutely blown away. The server pointed to the boat that caught the mussels that morning which was about 50 meters from the table we were at.

Tables are all on the water with spectacular views. Everything we ate was amazing. Also had the seafood spaghetti and black traglioli with lobster. Just delicious.

The staff was also just awesome. Many spoke English at least some, and were happy to talk to us for extended periods. It was so nice to hear about the history of the town, the restaurant, their lives, and suggestions for places to go.

I truly can't say enough great things about this place. If you're anywhere near Cinque Terre, make the trek to Fezzano and eat...

Scrivo questa recensione nella speranza di sensibilizzare lo staff del locale e per evitare che altri incidenti, potenzialmente anche più gravi possano succedere ad altri. Sono stato in questo locale con mia moglie e, come facciamo sempre, al momento delle ordinazioni abbiamo specificato la sua allergia alle uova (tra l'altro, il menu NON riportava gli allergeni). Il cameriere ci ha rassicurato che soltanto in una delle pietanze che compongono l'antipasto misto era presente l'uovo, mentre per il resto poteva mangiare tutto. Una volta servito l'antipasto, ci viene il dubbio che possa esserci dell'uovo in un'altra pietanza (baccalà mantecato mi pare), così chiediamo conferma che lì non ci fosse l'uovo. Il cameriere risponde subito di no e che poteva mangiarlo tranquillamente.... beh, cinque minuti dopo arriva un altro membro dello staff che ci dice "c'è un po' di maionese, è un problema?" Ecco... peccato che mia moglie avesse già mangiato quella portata..... La cena si è conclusa cambiando il secondo piatto, visto che quello scelto inizialmente e su cui avevamo avuto rassicurazioni, in realtà avrebbe avuto contaminazioni, e con antistaminico per tenere a bada la reazione allergica (fortunatamente blanda).

Tutto ciò per dire che è veramente un peccato per un posto in cui si mangia bene e con una bella location abbia delle leggerezze così gravi, tali da rischiare la salute dei clienti. Spero che questo feedback serva a far prendere maggiore consapevolezza, ma fintanto che così non sarà sconsiglio sinceramente a chi soffre di allergie...

An amazing dining experience night after night. Gennaro, Paulo & Team have a wonderful restaurant. The food is amongst the freshest and most flavourful we have ever eaten. The Tuna dish is simply exquisite and mind blowing.

What sets this place apart is the passion, personality and character. We feel extremely lucky to have eaten and spent time with these...
