Ristorante MarineRei — Restaurant in Porto Venere

My boyfriend and I had a really long day after visiting Cinque Terre. Because our stay was in Fezzano we thought it was nice to eat something there. We asked the owner if there was still a table for us and he took us very unfriendly to a table that was very far away from the other tables. After 15 minutes a very kind waitress came to us with the menu card but at the same time the owner came to us, touched our shoulders, called us children and said (while he took our wine glasses away) that we must leave because it was going to rain (eventually it didn’t rain the entire evening). Everybody on the terrace thought it was weird because there were other tables free underneath the parasols of the terrace. We felt that we were treated very rudely and therefore we would not recommend this...

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. The food was of mediocre quality and served in very small portions – completely disproportionate to the high price of €140. The service was practically nonexistent. The female waitress was openly rude and rolled her eyes at us, despite the fact that we were paying for what should have been a pleasant evening. While we were eating, the staff stood nearby, watching us and gossiping about us. There were no smiles, no conversation, no sense of hospitality. We also found it unreasonable to be charged €4 per person for coperto, when no service was provided and no effort for assist us with a smile. Sadly, we cannot...

Fanno venir voglia di tornare e non solo per il cibo.

Ci sono esperienze nella vita che valgono la pena essere fatte, una di queste è conoscere Rei e godere della gioia che mette in tutto quello che fa, come il dar vita ad una narrazione dei piatti e del vino unica nel suo genere...

Se poi si è super fortunati, da capitare in quei momenti del "lento viveve", anche Marina potrebbe fare capolino dalla cucina...

Ovviamente un Cuoco è un Cuoco, e quando uno di quelli con la C maiuscola, che lavorano in prima persona, escono dalla cucina, non bisogna aspettarsi una messa in scena stile manule di marketing con sorrisone alla "american super star" e strette di mano alla "benvenuto Mr president"... un Cuoco è competenza e scambio alla pari, egli si dona per la immensa felicità che prova nel fare... il sorriso del vero del Cuoco italiano nasce nel suo cuore e si proietta sul viso come un lieve accenno, un segno delicato che coinvoge anche gli occhi sinceri... spetta a chi legge essere consapevole, scovare i significanti e leggere i significati, perché la gioia prima della vita resta la scoperta e si ha il dovere di fuga da tutto ciò che è facile, privo di epifanie ed inenarrabile per scarso merito.

Per quanto riguarda il cibo proposto in questo luogo: se si hanno competenza e gusto, il MarinaRei è una tappa obbligata; se si vuole accrescere il proprio ventaglio sensoriale-esperienziale, questo è senz'altro un luogo da vivere; se si vogliono passare dei momenti piacevoli, gustando ottime pietanze con proposte di vini interessanti, è d'obbligo andare!

Tutto al MarinaRei vale la pena essere esperienziato in prima persona, liberatevi da aspettative e pregiudizi, siate una tela bianca pronta per un nuovo inizio.
