Da Michele — Restaurant in Portoferraio

We visited Da Michele in August 2018. We had a ferry to catch and had limited time but wanted a meal before leaving Elba. All the restaurants could not accommodate as they were not yet open, however the Da Michele staff were having their staff meal but welcomed us with open arms! The service was incredible. Food was amazing - not limited to pizza - and had a generous menu offering. Our dinner choices were all delicious and the waiters made us feel so welcome. The pièce de résistance was the 2 bottles of frozen Pistacchio and Melone after dinner shots which our waiter left on the table for us - on the house! Our waiter enthusiastically informed us that these are made in-house and they were exceptional!! Unfortunately we could not stay for deserts due to our ferry leaving - but this was the best restaurant experience we had while on our stay in Tuscany. I would highly recommend this be it for lunch or dinner as it is well worth it. Well done everybody! A well...

After visiting this place I can say that it isn't as bad as expected, the waiters are nice and the food is great, but the place itself doesn't look that good, the tables are put together randomly and the only decorations there are are some oil stands and I dont know if you can call that a decoration. They also sell pizza to go and it stays great even after transporting it for a while. Siamo in vacanza all'Isola d'Elba, un isola bellissima, fantastica, meravigliosa non esagero e non sto scherzando. Molti, molti di voi la conosceranno già e saranno senza dubbio d'accordo con me. Per chi invece non ci fosse mai stato... beh! Ragazzi dovete assolutamente venirci. Detto questo passiamo al vero motivo della mia recensione e cioè il Ristorante Pizzeria Da Michele. Ci siamo capitati per caso una sera di queste dopo una giornata bellissima, passata tra spiagge e località dell'Isola, piuttosto stanchi e con i nostri due cagnetti a seguito, due bellissimi, e qui sono assolutamente di parte,Vizsla. Allora, brevemente, accoglienza 10 e lode, tutti. Simpatia, professionalità nel servizio e ottimo cibo. Pizza alla diavola meravigliosa, sono davvero pignolo sulle pizze, le vado a cercare ovunque mi trovi, è un piatto che amo. La pasta della pizza è ottima e leggera cottura perfetta, la farcitura abbondante di prodotti buoni. Il locale, un bel locale semplice, colorato e allegro, pulitissimo e ordinato.
