We had been regular guests at the previous Babbai for a few years. When our favorite restaurant, San Gavino, had closed on monday in July and we needed to find a quick alternative, we decided to return to Babbai, as we had always had great experiences there. While we noticed the new name and owner, we chose not to let it influence us at the time. Unfortunately, this turned out to be our worst experience in over 20 years of traveling to Sardinia. I had never experienced such poor cooking before, and it was the first time in my life that I left a full plate!
