In summary, we found the pizzas to be below average for the area and very overpriced.
Our reservations were made through WhatsApp but they didn’t have them when we arrived. They were able to still accommodate our group of 6. We were told they didn’t have several items on the menu. Very frustrating was being told they didn’t have white wine by the glass even though the menu has a €7 white. I was advised to get a red which ended up being €14 a glass when we got the bill. That’s extremely high for this area and I felt swindled out of what I wanted for an up charge. It took 20 minutes for a bottle of Prosecco to come out because they needed to chill it. The boys were excited for Tripple beers and barley wine but neither time did they actually get the beer they ordered.
One pizza off the special list was €25! It was not special. A crispy hot crust with cold toppings that didn’t pair well. It was not tasty let alone for that price! One person in our group described their pizza as, “one that would come out free with aperitivo but I still wouldn’t eat it.”
I can get a great genovese pizza in Piazza della Repubblica, just down the road, for €7. There we aren’t passive aggressively reminded “the tip isn’t included” in the bill. Which, after living in Naples for a year, we have never been told before.
We initially wanted the advertised tasting menu but are now grateful we were told they don’t have it.
Excellent marketing. Good social media presence. The venue is clean and modern. The pizza dough is different and unique to traditional Napoli pizza but lots of improvements needed. Hopefully they’ll improve as time goes on but none of our party of six will be back and will instead support the many other...
Read moreBy local standards, which are already very high, the pizza is delicious. The dough is famous for being light and easy to digest. However, also by local standards, it is very pricey, especially if you go for any of the specialties. The selection is very limited, and it is pizza only, although there are a few starters. Regarding service, some training should be provided. Shouting "watch out "(attenzione) and leaning over to remove empty plates while customers are raising their fork to eat is not...
