Cicirinella Osteria Contadina — Restaurant in Putignano

The food here was absolutely delicious, and there was actually nothing wrong with the service but I removed a star only because I asked for a table in Italian and immediately I was asked if I spoke English - I speak both Italian and English, and I always think it’s rude when I am speaking one language and someone refuses to speak to me in it when they also can speak it. So for this, I just removed one star. Please don’t assume someone cannot speak a language before they say more than asking for a table. I haven’t usually had this problem here in this area.

The experience here otherwise was great, and I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly to anyone in the area. Great local cuisine, with lots of flavor.

We had an amazing experience in Putignano. The service by Humberto was outstanding — he made us feel like we were dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant with his detailed explanations. The service was quick and efficient, the space very pleasant, and the food absolutely excellent — all homemade, with ingredients grown and prepared by their own cooperative. A must-visit. Highly recommended. This is a special, familar place where the food is amazing. Everything is handmade, and they take the time to explain the menu and even adapt it to your preferences. You don’t often find places like this nowadays.

Even better is the warm treatment from both the waiter and the chef. The portions are generous, the quality is amazinf, and the prices are very fair. We paid €45 for two people including 5 appetizers...
