a Vaneda — Restaurant in Ragusa

Went there with my cousin and 3 year old daughter. The average item price on the menu for a main was 12€. I asked the waiter for just a small serve of grilled fish foe my little one. He advised we get a baked bream and share it. I asked him how much it would be twice and he was very elusive with his answers but given that the average price for a main was 12 € I assumed that worst case it would be 20/25€. They took ages to get the fish to.us to the point our daughter fell asleep and didnt even end up eating. The fish was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. When I got the bill and saw they charged me 40€ for a baked bream I was outraged. We spent 33€ in total for all the other dishes we ordered including another main, a half serve of octopus, 2 entrees and a glass of wine and then we werw charged 40€ for a bream....

Non lascio mai recensioni sotto le 3 stelle, ma stavolta non ce la faccio davvero. Va bene che era sabato sera, ma qualsiasi altro locale anche di sabato riesce a gestire la confusione molto meglio. Ci sediamo alle 22:30, in 10 minuti siamo pronti per ordinare, ma non viene nessuno, neanche dopo quattro richieste a quattro diversi camerieri, anche a chi in quel momento era fermo a guardare i tavoli senza fare nulla, ricevendo come risposta (tra l’altro in una maniera non proprio gentile) una giustificazione che dava la colpa solo alla confusione, anche se in quel momento non stava facendo nulla… Finalmente arrivano a prendere l’ordinazione alle 23:05, ma i piatti arrivano solo alle 23:55, e tra l’altro le persone sedute al tavolo vicino al nostro erano arrivate 10 minuti dopo di noi, ma sono state servite 15 minuti prima di noi. Avremmo anche sorvolato sull’attesa interminabile se il cibo fosse stato buono, ma i panini e le pizze sono stati preparati frettolosamente, bruciacchiati e con ingredienti mancanti o cotti malino. Mi dispiace davvero perché tendo a non lasciare mai recensioni negative, ma non penso proprio che torneremo, quanto meno di sabato sera. Consiglio anche di rivedere un po’ il personale, che sembra impreparato a gestire un sabato...

it was a pleasure to eat a hamburger with horse meat. the staff is very nice and helpful. I really appreciate the fact that you can choose gluten free options that are excellent, the gluten free bun that my boyfriend ordered looked really tasty and wasn’t falling apart like sometimes happen with GF products. we didn’t pay much for a plate that was fully satisfying.
