I hate to give a bad review, but just want to make sure others are aware. My husband & I dined here during our trip to Italy/Rome in January. Reservations were made online & I think we’d seen Da Vittorio all over our socials, which is why we made the reservation in the first place. Definitely feels more like a local spot & maybe we didn’t know what to order, but I didn’t feel like the staff were that friendly tbh. I inquired if they have wine by the glass because their wine menu only had bottle prices, and I was given a look like I was a bit crazy (but my husband doesn’t drink so I wasn’t willing to get a whole bottle for myself). Anyhow, my husband ordered the Linguine with Clams & I ordered a Gnocchi off their specials. We also ordered their Roman Trippa appetizer and this was the only place in Italy where the tripe was still a bit stinky…The clams from the linguine were NOT clean, most were full of sand & my husband couldn’t even finish them out of fear of getting sick/upset stomach since it was fairly early in our trip. My Gnocchi was the worst pasta dish I had during the trip. I don’t remember the sauce but it was walnuts and something & flavor was bland; gnocchi was hard; and just overall an unpleasant dish. The restaurant is also pretty far from the main city of Rome (~30€ one way trip), so also keep that in mind.

Dove c'è gusto, non c'è perdenza! Hidden Gem with Authentic Italian Charm! From the moment we stepped into this charming Italian restaurant, we felt like we were transported straight to Italy. The cozy, homey atmosphere made it feel like we were dining in a local's home rather than a typical restaurant. The decor was warm and inviting - Italian vibe. The service was absolutely outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. They made us feel like part of the family, offering great recommendations on both the wine and food menu. Now, the food — truly spectacular! Each dish was crafted with love and precision, bursting with authentic flavors. The pasta was fresh, and you could tell it was made in-house. The sauce was perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were top-notch, just like something you’d find in a small trattoria in the heart of Rome 😍

Probabilmente giornata sfortunata. Tutti e cinque commensali hanno lasciato all'assaggio.

Great atmosphere with great food and enormous portions!

Service was very friendly and spoke good English so it was easy to ask questions about the menu! Food was amazing! We took fried Artischocke, supli, cheese/Salumi plate, amatriciana and the meat and all was fantastic! Their antipasti portions are pretty big so be aware when ordering, we could not finish our last plate at all! Atmosphere is great, their terrace is beautiful!

Also... how could you say bad things about a complementary limoncello?

Would...
