We booked this accommodation through booking.com. We tried to find a way from the airport and didn’t want to spend a fortune. We have chosen the cheapest option- shuttle bus, even when it stated it is 1h 8 minutes walk from the drop off place. we thought if we take public transport it would be ok… We could not buy tickets online (2.50 per person) as it was not accepting any of our 4 debit/credit cards, so we bought tickets at the airport (€7.90 per person) which should go in 3 minutes and afterwards every 30 minutes. However, the bus went earlier and following bus did not come, following bus was late so we ended up waiting for nearly 90 minutes in hot weather with suitcases and very lively toddler- not great :( After arriving to bus station, we took metro to Piramide where we wanted to walk to our accommodation as it should have been 40 minutes. However, google maps led us through the bridge which was closed, so after 20 minutes walk we have been stick and needed to call Uber. |We arrived at the place and Manuel greeted us with his lovely smile and cheerful friendly attitude. He showed us around and every time we messaged him, he responded straight away - even on Sunday etc … He explained thoroughly how easy it is to get to city centre, gave us a map :) and showed us our apartment. |The apartment was very nice, clean and bathroom had A LOT of mirrors :) |We had small fridge in our room and hairdryer, which we found useful. They came daily to tidy up the room while we have been away. There was an option to pre-order the food, which we would get to our room, but we did not know when we will be back from our sightseeing, so we did not chose this option and we had food elsewhere. |The tram (currently replaced by bus no.8) is 10 minutes walk from the place and the final stop is Piazza Venezia, where you can walk to the main places or take another bus to Vatican city, which was a nice place to see. The “home” stop is st. Camillo hospital and at one stop before it was a shop with all essential items - called Conad (it is underground) and you could get there various drinks, bread, cheese, fresh food- fruit, veg… everything you need! ||We would definitely recommend the place and would come back if we want to see Rome again :) However, i have to mention that the online pictures are exactly like this place except the pool, but it might be because of the season we...

Firstly, let me start by saying that Livia Valeria is a beautiful property! Once the gates open you are greeted by lush flowers and green grass- its like an oasis and very welcoming. The buildings look brand new, lovely clean lines- all very modern and crisp.
The check in was absolutely fine, we were greeted by Max who was great.
The interior of the hotels public areas, were as beautiful as the outside- lots of french antique furnishings to marvel over. Again, it was very clean and crisp and felt like new.
The room we had was VERY spacious, perfectly clean and welcoming- lots of towels! Bathroom was great- modern and contemporary and again spotless with a powerful rain shower.
Now for the not so good.....THE POOL....or lack off.
We were a little dissapointed on day 1 to be told that the pool was refilling, with a hose and very slowly at that. When we arrived at 2pm the pool was half full and wasn't filled properly until 6pm, which was too late for us as we had dinner reservations at 7.
The next day, which was our last- the pool was OUT OF ORDER due to a leak which had caused it to drain overnight. So both days we didnt get the pool we had paid for.
Not the hotels fault but also not ideal for guests that had chosen to stay specifically for the pool access. There were a lot of unsatisfied people.
This isnt the first time the pool hasnt worked so the hotel need to get a handle on it as it is seriously letting down, what otherwise is an...
