Futura Rome — Restaurant in Rome

What can I say? When I found out where I had to meet for lunch with friends I was sort of dumbfounded! How on earth could they choose a place in such an un-forsaken area of Rome?!? Surrounded by truly horrible buildings. Instead it turned out to be a very pleasant and welcoming surprise. Outdoor seating surrounded by many tall plants that hide you away from the bleakish surroundings put you in a good mood. But the food. A must! Very well prepared dishes, at very reasonable prices. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. However they are only open on weekends apparently because of the current COVID crisis. GO! GO! GO! And when you’ve finished, go for a walk to the nearby wonderful neighbourhood...

Posizionato in una posizione strategica, appena fuori la metro Garbatella, la Casetta presenta una location calda e accogliente. È per l’appunto una casa, in tutti i sensi. Presente un ampio spazio esterno, che rende il locale molto appetibile soprattutto in presenza di temperature più miti. Chi ha visto la puntata di 4 Ristoranti a Roma, si ricorderà della Casetta, ma la gestione non è più la medesima. Molto buona là tartare di salmone con guacamole e cialda al nero di seppia (14€). Così come buona là cacio e pepe con tartare di gambero e lime (18€), anche se leggermente sipida e un po’ troppo al dente (ma qui sono gusti personali). Il polpo rosticciato con broccoli siciliani e spuma di patate, buono si, ma leggermente duro (12€). Il tortino al cioccolato e crema pasticciera (8€), eseguito a regola d’arte e davvero gustoso. Nel complesso i piatti si presentano bene e sono esteticamente raffinati. Da migliorare leggermente il servizio, i piatti non sono arrivati contemporaneamente e il vino non è stato né fatto assaggiare né servito. Anche se il cameriere è stato molto gentile. Assaggiato un ribolla gialla cantina Le Monde (26€), davvero molto buono. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo, con il 30% su TheFork siamo sui 45€ a testa. Leggermente esoso senza sconto, ma comunque nei limiti dell’accettabile. Con qualche piccola accortezza in più e una maggiore cura nei dettagli, è un ristorante che ha tutte le carte in regola per diventare un punto di riferimento della zona. The worst service we ever experienced , we where three groups from the same country we left without ordering food, the waitress was annoyed by our presence I personally felt really uncomfortable and rest of the groups too if you are a tourists and you don't speak Italian she will talk down to you like to a baby never again , if you are tourists don't go there , go to somewhere else where they will treat you more professionaly and politely
